A really spacious well equipped cottage. The location was perfect, minutes from the high street. The parking space was a bonus and plenty of outside space at the rear.

Overall we had a very good holiday at Bow cottage, location is excellent and the house and its facilities were good enough for what we needed, there were however a few things that we found disappointing, on arrival one of the first things that we noticed was the outside table and chairs were extremely dirty and we had to give it a good clean before use, there is a washing machine but unfortunately no washing line outside, everywhere weve been with cottages weve always had some form of welcome pack but unfortunately not on this occasion not even a pint of milk, the mirrors in both bathrooms looked they had been cleaned with a dirty rag, the upstairs bathroom shower was unusable, the shower head desperately needs changing, the downstairs shower was ok but very awkward to get in and out as the handles to help you get out didn't work, the floors hadn't been mopped in some rooms, we have found at many places that the cleaning companies that people use are very substandard, halfway through our stay someone decided to partially block the driveway and the car never moved for the rest of the week making it very awkward to get on the driveway, even though we found a few negatives, if all the above were to be rectified I would happily stop there again as it has som much more potential

This was our seventh or eighth stay at Bow Cottage. It is in a superb position in Pickering and has private off road parking for at least two cars. It is well equipped, very comfortable, extremely spacious and spotlessly clean
