"This was disappointment stay as the description is not clear and is misleading and disappointment in dealing with owner. We would not go back to this place even if we would get it as a compensation for our frustration and disappointment !!!When we booked this cottage (now after our stay we know that it is a joke to call it cottage !!! ) we understood and were looking forward to enjoy one private cottage for us with private hot tub in peaceful settings with privacy. What a shock on our arrival, frustration and disappointment. It is not single cottage but large farm house divided into two - one bigger part of whole house is for rent for 8 persons with hot tub and - and second smaller part of the house rent for couples with hot tub.Our hot tub is next to driveway used for our place and for private farm house next to this place and as well as access for people who rent other part of the big farm house, as well it is not far from the road used as a access to houses in surrounding area - the hot tub is fully open to view from that road for passing cars. What a joke of wonderful privacy !!!The view from lounge is well see the photo.Bedroom is shared with neighbours bedroom not only next but with another bedroom underneath. You can hear the people through the wall in your bedroom which is absolutely uncomfortable. When you enter the cottage for first time it really smells and we had to open windows for a long time. Cleaning well some areas has not been cleaned for long time judging from spider webs there.Bed is another story - two single mattresses and the result is big paddle in middle - what a enjoyment !!! Hot tub - when who's ever take care of it has no idea about it - we have been in few hot tubs but in this one they use chlorine tablets very extensively. The first time after we used hot tub we smelled like we were bathing in chlorine . Then i realise to remove the small plastic basket with chorine tablets floating in hot tub and that helped. They even give you more tablets to put in if you feel and thats absolutely irensposnible. In hot tubs we have been in past someone usually came and checked the water and accordingly treated the water. It is UNHEALTHY to over use chlorine table in this way in hot tub.Another story is logging which took place just about our place so expect nice morning wake from machinery with combination of neighbours children's waking up in the morning. You can imagine what kind of peaceful setting and place you will get if you get large family next door like we did ( and we thought that we were lucky that it is not few young couples coming only for parting ) - then cake on top of it was when they started a party with loud music and drinking and we had to ask caretaker to step in.We arrived very late on the first day so we called immediately next morning owner and explain her situation as the description did mislead us 100 % and we want to get full refund and leave instantly. Well owner respond was " i have nothing to do with refund and you need to speak with agency. Later we have learnt that the owner was not telling as true and that she is fully responsible to make the decision. Was evident that the owner was only caring for the money she will receive from our stay. We tried to call her again later but she did not take our calls and did not return them as well and that was end of our communication with her. Disappointment!"

"Lovely private location. We stayed when it first opened and were delighted. However it has now become in need of refurbishment and is looking tired. No fluffy bathrobes this time which you need when getting out of the hot tub in cold weather. Skylight windows were filthy, and living room windows had lots of dead flies around it. The only aluminium foil was on the grill in the oven so we had to use that for our joint and it looked used. No wine in the welcome pack this time. Next door had a group of young people with no consideration for us as a middle aged couple looking for somewhere peaceful. Loud talking, girls giggling late at night and first thing in the morning. We came for peace and quiet. Welcome pack is some milk, coffee pods and some home made bread. Chase longue is wooden, fine for kids to sit on but not adults. Size fine for two adults. Dishwasher is very good and requires no pre-soaking. Potato peeler is a bit blunt. Frying pan ok but only one. No smaller pan if you are doing a fry up. Bathroom has a heated towel rail which was great but no under-floor heating. Shower pressure varies and you can't take the shower head off. Hob is halogen and fine. Positioning of fire blanket and extinguisher a bit dodgy right next to oven and difficult should something catch on cooker. Bistro set which we were looking forward to using sitting outside with wine was thrown in a heap in the top right hand corner of the garden area. Looked in need of some varnish. Nice views from the bedroom and living room. Whirly gig is over a fence in a field of longish grass which would risk ticks. The steep path driving up from the road is a wreck and if you have a low slung undercarriage then you risk damage to your vehicle. Very stoney and potholes with the centre of the path raised. Not good for our Focus. They need to fill it in a bit. Would be treacherous in very bad weather. You could feel the stones flying off underneath tyres as we went up in first gear. Lovely private location and good place for a young couple on their first getaway, especially with the hot tub. However not value for money any more. Handle missing off the bath and tv wasn't much better than terrestrial plus a couple of channels. Wifi but we never got an internet signal and had to use mobile data. Enjoyed it the first time but think we'd stay in Weem next time. Same nice views and nearer the hotel and easier to get the car to."

"The apartment is on the ground floor of what appears to be a grand house overlooking the main A827 Aberfeldy road and the river Tay. However, drive around the rear into the car park and the ground floor now becomes what is essentially a basement, because the house is built into the hillside. To access the apartment one must now pass down 12 rather steep steps into a passageway formed of the back of the building and an 8 foot retaining wall which supports the car park (my wife actually joked that one could do an underside check of the car from here!). The alternative is to walk back to the other end of the car park where it flattens out and back again down the passageway. To enter the apartment one now passes through a scruffy, gloomy entrance passage.Inside, an extremely spacious lounge/dining area offers beautiful views of the hills beyond the river Tay, and at first appeared to be comfortably furnished with ample seating for 7-8 people. However, appearances were deceptive as over the course of the week the seating proved to be anything but comfortable. At the rear of the apartment the kitchen and both bedrooms faced onto the aforementioned retaining wall and were as a consequence very gloomy, not helped by the fact that they face north. The kitchen was well equipped but was not as clean as we would have expected i.e. the toaster was full of crumbs which had spread out onto the work surface and under the microwave. The taps over the sink are difficult to turn on and off.But the worst offender of the week has to be the double bed, which we agreed is possibly the worst bed we have ever slept in. Both my wife and I found getting comfortable difficult and woke up most mornings with backache.Other than more stiff taps over the sink we found the bathroom to be of a good standard.Taken individually each of these points would be a minor niggle, but when combined they became a major issue which meant that returning to our 'home from home' was not the happy experience it should have been."

"I’m thrilled to say we had the most amazing weekend imaginable. Everything you planned for us went down extremely well – all of the activities, the caterers (wow!), transportation and of course Phillippe, the slightly panicky and therefore typical Frenchman who kept us all in check and I’m so glad he was there. The house is incredibly tastefully decorated and furnished, and super comfortable – definitely a house designed for refined entertaining. Even the weather was kind. It only properly rained the day we left and the first night we were there it didn’t get dark, we enjoyed the most extraordinary sky well beyond midnight. We were 17 friends who rarely get the chance to all come together at the same time with children shipped off elsewhere etc., so what a treat for us. You’ve created something truly exceptional in Hilltop Manor and certainly for us, one of the most memorable and enjoyable times we’ve ever experienced. With enormous thanks and very best wishes."

"Wonderful time in a wonderful cottage. Location is great (assuming you have a car). It's close to Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Kenmore and other places you will want to visit. Logierait is a lovely setting. We went to the Logierait Inn for dinner on the last evening, looks a bit tatty on the outside, food though was excellentPtlochry is five miles away and has Tourist Info, Co-op, everything you may need. Aberfeldy also has a smaller Co-opCottage itself was excellent. Lovely large room at the front overlooking the river and hills. Well equipped kitchen. We had our two young girls who can't help make loads of noise at unsociable times of the morning, though had no complaints from neighbours. Only reason I don't give 10 overall is I'm over 6ft and would prefer a King Size bed!Best recommendation I can give is that we'd be happy to go back next year"
