What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Open Fires In England To Rent.

"This was the worst cottage we have ever stayed in.The lounge REEKED of stale dog,We had to buy an air freshner and open windows just to go in the room. The tv was very small. The conservatory had 6 foot high weeds almost touching the glass blocking views and restricting light. The lounge window was similary affected. The mattress on the bed lacked support. The shower attatchment over the bath had no power at all and only gave a drizzle of water. We therefore used a jug from the kitchen to wash our hair,The hot water stopped working on the Friday morning..The garden had a small lawn but the rest of the "tiered garden "was so overgrown with weeds that were up to 6ft high it was unusable. The gate to enter the cottage grounds was laying in the hedge. The cottage is located on a sharp bend and we could not believe how busy and noisy the road was at times."

"The most beautiful peaceful setting, every night we were treated to a deer parade outside the cottage, the pictures don’t do this property justice! It’s a perfect get away from it all holiday, the cottage lounge/viewing area is upstairs we could have sat there all night watching the deer. Inside could do with a little updating such as new sofas, cushions, rugs etc for that extra wow factor and home from home appeal,,,it really could be something special with a few tweaks but the setting really does sell this place on its own so it’s no complaint. A stroll across the fields is the gunton arms pub well worth a visit and dog friendly! Only 20 mins from the coast so the best of both worlds! Everyone here was so welcoming and friendly definitely recommend a visit, we would love to go back in the autumn to watch the deer again!!"

"Have just got back from a wonderful weekend There was a party of 10 & two dogs. Everything we could of hoped for plenty of comfy seating in lounge, large kitchen with lots of cutlery pots pans etc. Beds were lovely I think we all slept really well over the weekend 😊. Fantastic large backgarden plenty outdoor games supplied excellent verandah with plenty of comfy chairs. Enough towels supplied for everyone & even doggy towels which was a god send as we had forgotten ours! Two large ensuite bathrooms a downstairs toilet & another bathroom on 1st floor. Heating worked great & logs were supplied for log burner. Took a trip out to Wells-next-the-Sea beautiful fishing village & a very impressive beach with a lovely beach cafe. Thank you S17632 for making our yearly family gathering a fantastic one ❤️ x"

"S17632 is a large airy house, with comfortable furniture (all guests commented on the comfortable beds and bed linen!) and bathrooms conveniently located to allow easy access from all bedrooms. The large enclosed garden provided a safe play area for the children and the furniture on the decked area enabled the adults to supervise in comfort. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and provision of beach towels was very much appreciated. The house is situated in a quiet village with an excellent pub/restaurant. We found that we needed to drive to the beach at Wells - next- the - sea but parking was quite straight forward. The children were delighted by Bewilderwood and Roar Dinosaur Park which were a short drive away.We all had a very relaxed and enjoyable week."

"We had a lovely weeks stay here, location is beautiful with amazing views and so close to bath. only a 10 min drive House is a lovely old cottage and so appreciate it has rustic charms. we had a very restful week here but did miss not having any WiFi as husband is self employed and did need to do some work and we used a lot of data on our phones. limited tv channels which may be an issue for some in the evenings, there is a wide range of dvds though which were great to watch after dinner. Top balcony has stunning views and we enjoyed sitting up there, just needed a sun umbrella to make it perfect as gets very hot up there in the sun. This is a great place for a quiet getaway for a couple, in a rustic location. overall a very enjoyable week away."
