The coast of Moray is an ideal spot for dolphin spotting and you can either keep your eyes peeled from the shore or indulge in a boat trip. Needless to say, with such an impressive coastline, fishing was once a huge part of life here. You can find out more about this heritage at the Buckie and District Fishing Heritage Centre. Further inland a section of the largest National Park in Britain falls within Moray. This wonderfully unspoilt area is popular with outdoor enthusiasts.

What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Moray To Rent.

"We had such a lovely week at S60333. The Cottage was beautiful, tastefully done with everything in it that a family and their four legged friends would need. We arrived to a lovely personalised welcome pack which included flowers, milk, treats for dogs and children as well as jar full of chocolate biscuits. The Cottage is spacious, spotless clean, very well equipped, and comfortable. The location is truly stunning and you can literally throw a stone into the water from the front door! Therefore, making it literally impossible to be nearer the sea. The local folk were lovely, there was so much to see and do in the surrounding area, but to be honest you don't really need to leave the your own doorstep. The weather was kind to us and our children loved it and spent their days on the surrounding beaches and their evenings in the harbour in front of our door paddling about in an inflatable canoe. The dogs were in heaven too and frankly so were we. In short we absolutely loved it!"

"We were greeted with a warm friendly smile, lots of fabulous information about how and where to make the most of our time and a goodie pack that consisted of everything we needed to get the week started. The cottage was immaculate, warm and very comfortable after our mammoth nine and half hour drive. Lisa was a wonderful hostess proving that nothing was too much trouble. Hope all who stay here enjoys themselves as much as we did. Scotland is a wonderful place with lots to do. Cullen is peaceful and clean. During our week we ate at the Rockpool, the Cullen Bay Hotel, tasted Portknockies fish and chips and Cullen's homemade ice cream. We visited Loch Ness, went on the funicular train at the Cairngorms, sailed on the Gemini Explorer and saw at least four dolphins who travelled along side us. We were also fortunate to see seals on land as well as in the sea. An amazing experience that we are looking forward to repeating again."

"S60333 is a fabulous, warm and welcoming holiday cottage. Very comfortable, excellent heating, great kitchen and the outlook onto the harbour is lovely. The bedrooms are very comfy and spacious as are the bathrooms. The utility room is a nice extra touch. The kitchen is very well equipped and well stocked, we didn’t lack for anything. The welcome basket was generous as were the bathroom essentials that you may forget to pack. Although Findochty is a small fishing village, the area is well located to visit attractions. Findhorn Sands is an absolute must, Spey Bay Dolphin Centre is worthy of a visit or two. There is a big supermarket less than 10 mins drive plus a small shop in the village. If you are looking for a relaxing break in very comfortable surroundings with lots of places to visit/walk, then we would recommend S60333 - one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in."

"The pretty stone cottage is really nice to stay in, with elegant and comfortable furniture, a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy flame-effect electric fire for chilly evenings, and an absolutely beautiful garden. We only met the landlady, Kathleen, after a couple of days, as she had to be away on our first day, so the key was handed over by her husband, who is less outgoing. However, when we did meet Kathleen, we liked her very much. She is very warm and friendly, and told us lots of interesting background detail about the area. We had many beautiful walks on the hills round Tomintoul, as well as a stunning "Viewpoints" walk at the nearest slightly larger town, Grantown-on-Spey, and a fantastic visit to the Highland Wildlife Park. We enjoyed eating out in several of the nearby pubs and hotels, and would particularly recommend the Hotel Square. An excellent holiday."

"The place is big and very well thought out. Views from the property are excellent and the location is ideal. The enclosed back garden was fantastic for the dog. Town facilities with normal shops and takeaways a short drive away or a nice walk. There is also a supermarket for groceries and fuel etc. The owners have thought of everything, unfortunately we were unable to meet them on arriving at the property but they were only a text away and told us not to hesitate in contacting them if we needed anything. They even asked us what milk and bread we wanted getting in. Will definitely be back and would give this property a first class reference, even the neighbours were friendly and even gave us details of a lovely walk from Portknockie along the beach to Cullen, where we obtained a delicious ice cream - well worth a visit."
