"Lovely cottage in a fantastic location but lacking in attention to detail and cleanliness.Kitchen missing basic items ie no small tumblers for whiskey/water, no chopping boards other than a bread board, had 4 cups but only 1 saucer , only 5 egg cups so had to improvise and use an egg box! All easily sorted but very annoying.Lounge area was comfortable but tv a nightmare due to poor signal and ineffective controllers. No towels provided for downstairs toilet/bathroom.Cleaning standards leaved a lot to be desired ie filthy plugs, a loo brush that was fit for the bin and crisps and crumbs under cushions on one of the sofas which we discovered when we went to re zip a cushion to the back of the sofa as it had been left upside down!!Would not recommend to anyone with back problems as shower had no shelf for soap/shampoo etc so everything had to be left on the floor and there was a similar problem in the bathroom as the sides of the bath were curved and consequently no where to stand anything. Also, unable to contact the caretaker on 3 separate occasions and ended up speaking to the owner, who was delightful.Such a shame as it is a lovely property and despite all the criticism we would be tempted to return but would have to be sure that these issues had all been addressed."

"A lovely spacious, and comfortable house. A thoughtful welcome tray with milk, cake and biscuits to enjoy on arrival. It was very well equipped with fluffy towels and plenty of crockery so that the dishwasher didn't have to be put on after every meal!Lots of leaflets and books giving information about the area. Carolyn and George were across the yard and were friendly and informative but never intrusive. A nice patio area with seating just outside the house and a small garden with drying whirlygig. A car is essential for the property but it is well placed for visiting the coast, different parts of the Broads and Norwich with Postwick Park and Ride off the A47 making it easy to reach the centre of Norwich without having to find parking. The local Mace shop (less than a mile away and open till 9pm) has a Post Office and stocks just about everything - from food and drink to hairbrushes and shaver sockets! We have been using self-catering properties for holidays for nearly 45 years and S17685 certainly rates as one of the best we've ever used. We don't often revisit an area but if we did go back to the Broads, we wouldn't hesitate to book S17685 again."

"As soon as we walked in to S17255 we were amazed by how spacious and homely it felt. The living room is huge and has a large open fire. The kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, large fridge and a freezer with a microwave as well. There is a large dining room with a table that seats 10; this room also has a working open fire. The downstairs bathroom has a shower and a washing machine. There is a lovely conservatory that looks out into a large garden. Through the doors it leads to the annexe which has a twin room and en-suite bathroom with a very good shower. Upstairs there is a very large family bathroom and one en-suite bedroom and two other good sized bedrooms one had a double and a single bed and the other was a twin room. We went for Christmas so it was cold but there was a heater that gave out a lot of heat. We took two young children as well as a baby with us and the fact that there was so much room was really good for when someone wanted time out in a quiet space! It is an amazing place to stay with a group of family or friends."

"A lovely place to stay for wonderful walks along the beach, the Undercliff Walk, straight down to Brighton Marina and Brighton Town Center. Just as well you can go for long walks in the countryside. The Cottage itself is beautiful and in a very good state. All electrical equipment is in a perfect state, Wifi is top. The bathroom is small, but nice and the shower works like a charm. Beds are perfect and the enclosed garden is a lovely place to enjoy a good cup of coffee or a nice BBQ. Rottingdean itself is very traffic polluted, moving along the streets as a pedestrian isn´t very pleasurable.Parking in the garage should be easy for Smarts or Minis, but not for SUVs. But there is enough free parking space up the road. Mind you, a long way up the road... ;-) No, it´s ok, you might have to walk 200 m or so.Once we had parked our car, we left it there all week and got us a Network Saver Bus ticket for roundabout 22 GPB a week. Cheaper and much more pleasurable than going into town by car.Would we come back to Rottingdean and S26240? Yes, any time!"

"Less a cottage and more a mobile home/chalet bungalow, so very characterless outside. Inside comfortable very well appointed and generally very clean except the shower was developing a real mold problem; that bathmat has got to go! Comfy bed and fairly peaceful setting. The conservatory was really nice and despite the cold weather it warmed up well in the spring sunshine. There definitely a lack of basic equipment we have come to expect: there was no hair dryer; no radio alarm clock; very basic sets of kitchen equipment and the cutlery and crockery were a mishmash. (A massive great dish washer and insufficient equipment). Loads of spoons though! The shower was not very powerful for being the only form of bathing apart from the washbasin. The dog walks were lovely but you had to contend with a tricky fast country road to get anywhere. The area is so lovely and enjoyed days out but Orchard(?) Farm "Cottage" was not very homely to come back to."
