    Moray Holiday Cottages

Moray is in the north east of Scotland, with a coastline on the Moray Firth. Known as “the land of natural contrasts”, Moray features the Cairngorm Mountains, rugged coastline and bustling town centres. The region spreads from the coastline on the north down to the National Park with the River Spey flowing through it – starting at the mountains and joining the sea at Spey Bay. Moray is whisky country; with over half of the country’s malt distilleries found in Speyside. When you’re not enjoying a tipple, you can indulge in mountain biking, watersports and walking/running through the lush scenery or take the time to explore some of the area’s historical sites.

Book your Moray holiday cottage and choose from open-plan farmhouses, family-friendly villas or cosy crofter's cottages. With so much choice, you're sure to find the perfect spot for two or the whole crew. Scotland is perfect for hillwalking, so bring your furry friend along for a stay in one of our dog-friendly properties.

With thousands of properties to choose from throughout the UK, all backed by our best price guarantee, you're sure to find the perfect cottage. Our customer service team are on hand to answer any questions, or help with special requests — just give them a call.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Richard - Verified booking

We had a very helpful email from the owners the day before we arrived which was very informative and welcome.

Although we had an enjoyable week at the Doocot and its proximity to to the beach is fantastic - there are some things that need to be addressed for the comfort of future visitors. With a weekly rental of £1k we would have expected a little more and doesn’t stand comparison with the more expensive property we stayed in the week before in the Cairngorms. More wine glasses required - there were 2 - one huge, 1 small. No tea pot. More small tables required in lounge - nowhere to put a mug/glass if using sofa in front of tv apart from on the floor. The TV needs to be properly connected so you can if you wish, watch mainstream tv easily - eg the Scotland v England game last week was inaccessible No visitor book. Presumably it is intended to plaster the wall around the fireplace? The fridge is too small, it will be difficult/impossible for many to access without getting on their hands and knees. It didn’t seem to us to keep things v cold - eg a bottle of wine had to go into the freezer. The property description needs to make it clear that there is no parking immediately by the property- this would be a significant problem for some; as would the very steep stairs. Both would be beyond some people

The property's well situated with great views.

Decoration and finish of the property inside leaves alot to be desired, with flaking paint on walls as well as evidence of what looks like mould in the dining room, caused by dampness in wall. Bathroom upstairs decorated in a hurry. Shower screen leaks onto what looks like MDF boarding which has swollen. Heating perfectly adequate with lots of hot water. Blinds in dining room don't shut properly so lack of privacy in this part of the house otherwise pretty good. Good selection of books and game's etc. Sorry to see at least 7 dead millipedes around the accommodation including 2 in the game's drawer !! I would like to note that the interior staircase was difficult for myself as I have mobility problems, I'm pleased to say I managed alright taking extra care. The carpet in the bunk room was stained and has seen better days. Outside area was pretty good. I didn't intend to go in with a crical eye but it could be so much better if issues were addressed and it was given the finish it deserves.

A wonderful family break in the beautiful white cottage.

Clear directions made it easy to reach the cottage and to access the keys. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable.. and so, so peaceful! Plenty to do on the estate and surrounding areas, beautiful walks and wildlife practically in the garden. Roe deer, red squirrels, osprey.. and of course the super friendly and handsome cat (the biggest problem was keeping this friendly boy out of the cottage!). Everyone we bumped into on the estate were welcoming, helpful and full of information on the area.. and John's pottery is exquisite and well worth checking out. The only problem with our stay was a week just wasn't long enough to enjoy this wonderful little jewel.. although we plan to rectify that by returning next year, but for a fortnight this time.

Lovely cottage, Fantastic surroundings with a lovely walk in the woods by the ponds.

Thank you for providing the snow during our stay it made a grate stay even better. My only gripe is that the lighting in the kitchen is not the best the cooker took an age to warm up and the hot water ran out quickly, but may I be so bold to suggest a few changes you may wish to do (and save on running cost) change the booster pump shower to a full electric shower and install a Multipoint water heater for the taps removing the need to have a hot water storage tank, change the cooker to an electric oven and a induction hob and replace the LED lamps you have from 1st-2nd gen to new 5th gen units.

The 'Bungalow' was simply the perfect property and location for our weeks holiday in north Scotland.

It had everything we needed, was exceptionally clean, well-equipped and more than comfortable. Most importantly it was 'dog friendly'. Its location is simply stunning, and enjoyed exploring the fantastic private woods and grounds within the estate to which the Bungalow is located. Perfect for relaxing walks with dogs from the front door! The estate gives ideal easy access to all local amenities, and is the perfect base for exploring this part of Scotland. A fantastic property and location, and hope to return there again sometime very soon.
