    Fishguard Holiday Cottages

Fishguard is a small coastal town in Pembrokeshire, Wales, with a community of less than 3,500 people. Its compact size makes it easy to navigate its two parts: Lower Fishguard cups a small river flowing into the harbour and Main Town is set up the hill.

Fishguard is perfect for a walk in the ancient surrounding woodland, followed by a drink of local ale by an open fire in the pub. On warmer days, it's perfect for a swim in the sea. Heading up to the old fort (about a mile walk from the centre), observe the boats arriving into port. The canons were essential defences preventing the last invasion of Britain by the French in 1797. The local women dressed in tall black hats and red cloaks for the occasion, to scare away the French who thought they were witches!

With thousands of properties located throughout the UK, all backed by our best price guarantee, we're sure you'll find the perfect place to stay. Fishguard boasts traditional fishing cottages and stately homes, perfect for just the two of you, or the whole family. Need help deciding? Our friendly customer service team are just a call away.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Sarah - Verified booking

The owners were lovely and their welcome could not have been warmer.

They clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay and be comfortable and consistently went beyond what might be expected to ensure that this was so. It was especially enjoyable to be staying in a property owned by local people who were keen to help us to find our way round and appreciate the area. They had prepared the cottage with an eye for detail and the property and local area information they provided was a particular example of this. I was blown away by the quality of presentation of the property. As for cleanliness, it was immaculate. In terms of attractive fittings and furnishings - it had a real cottage feel and was beautifully decorated and well supplied with everything we needed, and the bedroom in particular blew me away with its furnishings and view over the fields. We enjoyed sitting outside at the property, finding sun almost all day. Our pet was also made to feel welcome. We fell in love with the area and the location so close to the coast was

This cottage was just delightful. Ideal position between areas of interest in North Pembrokeshire and with lots to do. Lovely private setting next to woodland with well positioned outdoor seating to admire great views across the lower land & out to sea. Very cosy cottage, clean and very comfortable, perfect for us and our very active dog - with a coast path branch adjacent and lovely sandy dog-friendly beaches just a short drive away. Beds very comfortable and the internet works well. Hosts very welcoming and helpful - live nearby though in no way intrusive. A great find for us and a perfect place to spend a week enjoying Welsh hospitality, exploring and eating local produce in quite a few good eating spots only a very short drive away. We loved it. Definitely 5 stars from us

Cwm Bach is a beautiful oasis of calm nestled in a woody hillside at the end of a long drive. Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect location for our week-long retreat with our dog. It is extremely well equipped, cosy and comfortable - the thoughtful 'welcome hamper' was a lovely touch. There is a footpath outside the front door, which makes it easy to head off for walks up Mynydd Dinas, behind the cottage, and it's less than a mile down to Aber Bach beach where you can join up with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The owners are nearby and very responsive, so if you have any queries or issues, they are quickly dealt with. This was our first 'cottage rental' holiday and it has set the bar very, very (very) high! It really is a home away from home.

Lovely cottage very well appointed and very clean and cared for. Stunning location if you want peace and solitude. Just a superb amount of room around the cottage carefully looked after with picnic table and benches and a bench to sit in the evening sun to enjoy the views to the sea. On the edge of the Preseli Hills lovely walks and if you are energetic a walk straight out the front door up through the woods to the heathland. The owners Nigel and Tracey are extremely nice and helpful people. If that is the location you like you would not find a better one in the area. A winner for us.

We loved this cottage and the beautiful quiet area.

The cottage is attractive, clean and has everything you need. The owners who live next door are really nice, friendly and very helpful - but were not intrusive at all. It's a great place for a "get away from it all" holiday. The Pembrokeshire coast path is just a short walk from the cottage and we spent most of our time walking along it. Stunningly beautiful scenery and wildlife. We also found things to do on the two wet days we had. Pubs and shops are a short drive away which may be drawback for some but, for us, the great location made up for that.
