What our customers say about their holidays

    • Anthony - Verified booking

This is a honest review of our stay, listing all the good points and negatives.

Good House is generally clean and tidy Settee is a corner sofa with 2 electric recliners, very comfy. Kitchen is clean and tidy and modern Bedrooms are clean if a little dated in places, (sockets very old, cables not routed just curled up in corners etc) The beds are comfy, although they do squeak a little. Fee Netflix is provided and the TV is excellent. Bathroom is clean and the shower is very nice. The downstairs windows were locked, we messaged Paul and someone came round to unlock them and let some fresh air in as it was very hot inside the house. Heating is controlled by a hive thermostat in the hallway, we turned this down as the house was very warm. The 1980s gaming machine was a nice touch. A nice basket of chocolates and biscuits was waiting for us on arrival. Not so good There is an odour when you first enter the house, its not entirely unpleasant and there has been an attempt to mask the smell with an air freshener. There were no dish cloths or tea towels for doing the dishes and cleaning the counters down The curtains in the main bedroom did nothing to stop the morning light coming through at 5am. The pool table was badly levelled, we asked Paul to come and sort this, he said he would, but unfortunately, it never happened, quite disappointing, when that was a main attraction for our boys. There was only one useable pool cue, the others were either tiny or broken. The hot tub had an error message stating the filter was 23 days overdue a change. Other useful info Parking is tight and there is a birds nest in the gutter directly above, hence car was covered in bird droppings. The front door cannot be opened from the outside without a key even if it is unlocked, so don't leave the keys inside the house and let the door shut. The knife and fork drawer is hidden inside the top drawer near the oven. If these small nuances were addressed, we would gladly stay again, the house is located in a generally nice area, close to shops and buses and trams.

      First time staying Here.

We are a family of 6, 2 adults 4 children.and 2 dogs, We loved staying here so spacious clean and their is lots to entertain the children and thos was an added bonus 4 in 1 games table. a arcade machine that is free to play. Out side full sized pool table plenty of books and games. And also the hot tub we used everything and everything is on your door step, beach shops, arcade and plenty of restaurant's pubs ect. We enjoyed it that much we ask the lovley freindley Paul if we could add another night short notice, but nothing was two much and he made it happen. The beds are comfy and plenty of towels and everything you need to cook for a big family was available to hand. The back garden is secure so no worries of the dogs escaping and all artifical grass which is great no muddy paws. And the conservatory was very cosy for are morning coffee. We very much look forward to coming back.

Having Beach House withdrawals already !

What a lovely property.Fantastic sea views from the Lounge and front bedrooms. The sea front is spotless with beautiful works of art placed along the promenade. The house is really clean and warm with plenty of hot water. comfortable beds with nice quality bedding and a well equipped kitchen. Situated in a really quiet location but a 2 minute walk from the high street. There are plenty of small shops and places to eat. A 10 minute walk to the tram or bus stop with a £4 all day rider ticket to use on any bus or tram,so very easy to get around Blackpool without having to take the car, with a bonus that the illuminations are now on until January. Would highly recommend The Venue and Pulcinella as places to eat locally. Unsah the owner is there every step of your holiday with great communication at all times. A big Thank-you. We hope to stay again.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the standard of this property.

The cleanliness could not be faulted. It was more spacious than I thought it would be. The facilities were good and the kitchen equipment also good. The cafes and shops were very near and of course the beach was just across the road. We all love being by the sea. Despite some awful weather [what does one expect on this coast at this time of year? ] we had a good time walking in the rain and knowing there was a cosy place to go back to. On the three days when we had lovely weather we had an even better time including a morning cuppa on the balcony. Whilst there we visited Anchorsholme park and cafe, and the quirky and interesting museum at Fleetwood. We walked along to the tableaus [illuminations] with the children and got a tram back. It was far preferable than having to drive home afterwards. A very refreshing and relaxing week.

      What a fantastic place.

It's a fairly large semi-detached house with plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. There was lots of storage and the kitchen was really well stocked and lovely and bright and modern. We very much enjoyed using the conservatory, which was comfortable and made a pleasant alternative to the lounge. The location couldn't be bettered. The bus stop into Blackpool in one direction or to Fleetwood in the other is about 500 yards away and the tram stop a little further at the other end of the road. The town is just the other side of the bus stop with lots of cafés and some very nice bakeries and it's also very close to the promenade and beaches. Our 2 doggies enjoyed themselves too. We all absolutely recommend 19 Slinger Road 100% with no concerns and are very eager to return. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

    Lytham Windmill Museum

The Lytham Windmill was built in the early 1800s and remained working until 1919 when a storm broke its sails. After years of dereliction it was restored by the local council and opened to the public. It is run by a group of volunteers. The museum is spread over 4 floors of the windmill, and displays historic artefacts about the windmill's life and local history. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Lytham Green, East Beach, Lytham. FY8 5LD
