St Davids Holiday Cottages

St Davids, Pembrokeshire, is a lovely place for a holiday. Thanks to the cathedral, which lies in the heart of St Davids, it is the smallest city in Britain. Many people flock here to enjoy time at Whitesands Bay - this Blue Flag beach is thought to be the best in Wales. As well as sandy beaches, the area is also well known for its coastal paths. St Davids lies in the northern part of the famous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and walkers are rewarded with spectacular sea views.

If you’re looking for Pembrokeshire holiday cottages, we have thousands of self-catering properties to choose from. What our customers say about their holidays

    • Gholamhossein - Verified booking

We were there for 8 days.

First of all, it should be mentioned that a very kind and lovely landlady named Kath, who makes you feel like a member of her family, is there. The property is equipped with all the necessary amenities. However, if there are many of you, I recommend ordering food and other essentials from Tesco online a few days before your arrival. The house is very large, warm, comfortable, and clean with strong Wi-Fi in all parts of the house. The next best thing about this place is that, if the weather is clear, you can enjoy starry, calm, and beautiful nights above your head when you are in the hot tub. Another point of interest is a boat ride around Ramsey Island, where you can see many seals and their pups on the shore if you are lucky. The beautiful sandy Whitesands Bay is 10 minutes away and is ideal for surfing, as the wind is blowing most of the time, swimming, and boating. Finally, I recommend that you go to this serene location with a group of friends or family to enjoy the pleasures of a family gathering and excursion.

Not ever visiting St David's before, we were more than happy with our stay. The area, coastline and people were wonderful and our hosts at Ty Blawd, Mr and Mrs Morgan, were absolutely fantastic and we will definitely go back to stay at some point in the future. In addition, Ffion from Best of Wales was brilliant throughout - again, more thanks. If you want to walk the coastal paths, definitely take walking boots and a camera as you will hopefully see sealions and dolphins like we were lucky to see. If you take dogs, Whitesands beach does not allow dogs and costs about £3 to park even if not stopping long, however Nolton Haven beach is dog friendly and doesn't cost as much to park. The Saffron Restaurant does a great takeaway.. The Nisa store in St David's city was a great supermarket, could get most things you needed. There are lots of things to do and see, but we will return without our dogs at some point so we can do and see the things we missed.

We had an amazing family break.

The Farm is full of character and space. The bedrooms are mostly dormitory style, so don't expect luxury, as the farm is used for city children to experience rural life. This is evidenced in the children's pictures, stones, shells and art all around the building. We loved being able to recycle and the food waste going to the farm. We had everything there we needed. The kitchen is a great size to cater for large families or groups. Although we could have done with a few more glasses and large plates for the adults to use. The 4 outside areas are lovely; a courtyard, a huge back garden/field (large enough for a game of rounders and that was in one corner!). There is large planted area off of the field with a little willow hideaway and then another walled garden with a firepit and bowling. The children had a television and electronic free weekend with plenty to keep them busy. They were able to run around to their hearts content and space to have quiet time too.

This is a traditional style property, in an excellent location if you are looking for a quieter spot outside St Davids . The cottage is spacious and comfortable, though lacking a good shower, and a dishwasher. The upstairs room is great for younger guests, as it doesn't have a lot of head room. We took 2 dogs, and they slept in the kitchen area which they do at home and this worked well. There is a nice seating area on the lawn behind the cottage. The kitchen facilities are good, and fully working, and there's a useful utility area. The bathroom was large and adequate. Overall it was a nice place for a break and great location for coastal walks.
