What our customers say about their holidays

    • Chris - Verified booking

This was a wonderful property and we really enjoyed our stay.

A larger fridge would have been useful, as with the high heat we did try to store lots of ice and drinks as well as some food, and it was a bit of a squeeze. But that's a really minor thing and the weather was unusually hot. We loved the wooden flooring, the bed was really comfortable, excellent TV, great space. We particularly liked the sliding doors from the living room to the garden and had these open most of the time, allowing the dog to wander in and out and lie on the patio for an afternoon snooze. The garden is excellent for dog owners and the surrounding forest makes this place a really good private retreat. We found it really nice standing out in the garden on a night after the sun had gone down, staring up at the stars and watching the bats flying around. And the shower was very nice. Some cottages have poor water pressure and the shower can be disappointing, but not this one. it was so powerful it was like having a massage. Overall definitely one of the best holiday cottages that we have stayed in, and one we hope to return to.

Tara was quite frankly the perfect host.

Easy to reach if any questions, friendly and welcoming. The cottage is the most wonderful, peaceful and relaxing place my little family and I have stayed to date, and we will absolutely be back in the future to continue our exploration of beautiful Scotland. The cottage is an ideal base to go out and discover the glorious countryside, alongside the captivating cities of Edinburgh and Stirling with their magical architecture and places to see. The kitchen is also well equipped with a free standing fridge freezer as well as a smaller fridge, and all the cutlery etc that could ever be required. A truly fabulous and joyously relaxing week for two adults and our young children, the garden is also perfect for a toddler to run freely to their hearts content, whilst being absolutely safe and enclosed. The children (and is grown ups) loved the wildlife that frequented the grounds with rabbits, birds and even a bat. Huge thanks to Tara for welcoming us to her cottage, it could not have been any better, exactly what was needed.

We are a family of 2 adults, a 1 year old and a little dog.

We have just had the most wonderful time at the Old Laundry Cottage - our dog and toddler lived their best life in the garden! We used the Old Laundry Cottage as a base for exploring this part of Scotland and it was just perfect. A clean, cozy and beautiful base with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. There is an incredible walk on the doorstep and plenty to see and do around the area. The owners were so helpful and friendly, and their communication was fab from the get go. We loved reading the local area guides and history books displayed in the cottage. The beds and living area were very comfy. WiFi was intermittent at times but it didn't bother us, we had enough of it for what we needed and manged to watch films on Netflix in the evening, only needed a bit of a buffer a couple of times. To be honest we just enjoyed a bottle of wine in the gorgeous garden instead (the weather was kind to us during our stay!). Highly recommend the Old Laundry Cottage and we would definitely stay again. Thank you to the hosts!

If you want peace, quiet and total relaxation, then this is the place for you.

If you want easy access to motorway links, towns and tourist spots, then this is the place for you, what a very rare combination! Our two dogs loved the large, very secure garden, as well as watching the two wee robins that came up to the patio doors every morning to look for their breakfast. We went at a time when there was snow, ice and very low temperatures, when we arrived the cottage was so warm and toasty for us to walk into. Very comfortable furniture and beds. The owner has thought of everything for you to have a comfortable stay, so many little extras that you don't get at other properties. Such a convenient place to stay, 5 minutes to a couple of villages either way, 10 minutes to Perth, where you have a large choice of shops and supermarkets. Go to the bottom of the drive turn right to go to Fife, left to Perth and 5 minutes take you to the motorway for Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Dundee, Inverness. What more could you ask for?

      Fabulous. Just a beautiful property.

Living room wonderful, kitchen wonderful, bathrooms wonderful. It's just all wonderful. Yards from nearest pub and shops, although I believe that pub shuts from 1st December to 1st March. There are other pubs but we did not try them. Road noise can be a bit noisy during the night but a small price force property this good. I'd recommend buying a good supply of logs on the way. The welcome logs only lasted an hour, and the large bag we bought for the remaining 4 days only lasted 2 days. So you don't want to be buying the small bags from the petrol stations. And you don't want to not be using the wonderful burner underneath the massive tv. Hot tub also fantastic. Found some nice dog walks right out of the front door. Moffat is a nice town and the people are nice too. 5☆ recommendation from me !
