Location was lovely, walking distance to Loch Awe with access to large, beautiful gardens where the children could run around & play football.
House has good amount of space with very useful porch to take off dirty shoes etc before entering main house. Unfortunately the house was not very clean. Both showers were completely blocked with hair so they filled with water after about 30 seconds. We did not feel inclined to remove excess hair left by other guests. Both bathrooms and the kitchen have white carpet. The carpets were badly stained, ESP round the toilets and near the fridge. This was very disconcerting and difficult to keep clean. One of the showers also leaked so the floor was permanently wet. The kitchen was not well equipped; no dishwasher, no basic coffee making facilities, no dryer (it was almost impossible to get clothes dry), no supplies at all, not even salt and pepper, no tea towels ( we have never come across this before although it was mentioned in the brochure.) Good TV but poor set top box so the picture was blurred. Just a small amount of attention would make this place really super. The living room was spacious and comfortable and the beds were satisfactory. There was room for all of us to eat at the table and the layout worked well. Updating the kitchen and bathrooms would make a huge difference.

Overall this is a lovely property, spacious and comfortable, and in a lovely setting.
It could do with a refresh with much wallpaper etc looking a bit worn. Mostly however, while general cleanliness was perfectly fine, the place needs a deep clean and detail in cleaning. Pulling out the dining table extension revealed horrible food waste. The kitchen has a light which can be lowered towards the table, a good feature until doing that during our meal rained the table with fossilised wood lice and dust. So in general a really lovely property that would be first class with some decor refresh and some attention to proper cleaning.

A great place to stay, really enjoyed our week.
Enough to keep us entertained as family with kids, aged 4 and 6, in the area. Also, took our paddle boards, so being able to launch straight on to the loch from the property was great, and Loch Awe was so peaceful, particularly in the evenings, so able to take advantage of the light evenings. Property suited our needs. Previous reviewers have commented on the cream carpet throughout, which was a little stressful with small kids, particularly in the kitchen, but this in no way detracted from the enjoyment of the property overall.

What a fabulous House!
Wow! We had the best family gathering -18 adults and two dogs. The location is perfect with views across to Kerrera and Mull. The owner - Kate - helped with little details and left us bottles of wine to share. She also recommended a local Chef - Michael- delicious food. The only downside - it was too hot, as a lot of the windows did not open, most unusual of course for the Highlands! I highly recommend this house in the Highlands

Loch Awe is truly gorgeous as is the surrounding area.
I think the photo of the house was rather misleading - it looks like it is sitting on its own, but in reality there is another house 3 metres away with a shared driveway (which was awkward as the occupants of other house had 2 cars). Stunning gardens though! Also worth pointing out that the road leading to the house is single track and a little stressful for nervous drivers (and cyclists).
