"The bungalow was not clean when we arrived and looked as though it had not been thoroughly cleaned for some time. Quilt on double bed was not big enough to make sleeping comfortable and warm; quality of bedding very worn. Shower in bathroom outdated; shower head far too high& not adjustable; when shower was running in bathroom temperature could be dangerously hot if someone turned on tap at wash hand basin. Toilet seat not secure so using toilet was uncomfortable. No hand rail to assist in getting in/out of bath. No plug for electric razor. No shelf for toiletries. No light above bathroom mirror. Kitchen short of condiments ie. salt, pepper, vinegar - if you arrive late and want to cook a meal, if would be helpful to have those to use. No where to hang dresses or trousers as all cupboard loaded at bottom with spare bed clothes. Neither bedside lamps worked in the main bedroom - one needed a new bulb and the other just wouldn't work. Good idea to say torches in cupboard that we could use - but batteries dead. Looks good leaving a bottle of wine, but better spend money on a washing up liquid and a decent dishcloth - certainly we would have appreciated that far more. Will stop here, but most or the reasons that we would not return. Suffolk as a county is lovely, though."

"We had not realized the cottage was so remote. Charming but not really suitable for the elderly. Stairs steep and slippery. Side of bath was so high it was difficult to step into. Directions to the cottage only given from Stowmarket from the north and not through Hadleigh from the south. It would be helpful if they were to include 'adjacent/next door to Kimbrose which is very clearly identified. Excellent file with instructions for all the electrical equipment, but nothing indicating best shopping area for provisions (Hadleigh has a Morrisons) or pubs or medical emergency services. Otherwise an enjoyable holiday and the cottage was certainly most attractive."

"We stayed there for a birthday celebration and the house is fantastic for a large group (we were 19 adults so also used the 2 bed Doves Barn cottage). Great facilities, hot tub, karaoke machine, pool table, large dining table and everything we could ask for. Great location for country walks and the owners couldn't have been more helpful from the moment we made the reservation. If being picky would like a few more essentials like tea towels in the kitchen and the area around the hot tub is so dark it's dangerous, but know that this is under development so hopefully next time it'll be fine:)"

"We have stayed in cottages the length and breadth of East Anglia and this is certainly one of the best appointed and maintained. Lots of positives -- outdoor space, lots of mods cons, newish bathroom. Negatives? Other reviewers have spoken about the fast road: there's a noticeable rush hour but it seemed pretty quiet to us, and we're from a rural Midlands location. Neighbours were quiet too. As a couple we found the space was more than adequate and didn't use one of the rooms. If we were to visit the area again we'd certainly book Magnolia Cottage."

"A wonderful cottage full of character and immaculately furnished and equipped. Thank you for the welcome pack.Lovely having the wood burner to come home to on blustery wet days. A real home from home. As mentioned before phone and internet coverage not good, but only really matters should an emergency arise. There was quite a lot of traffic noise, for a country lane especially in the early morning, but then again are used to no traffic noise where we live at home. However we would return again to visit this lovely area. Thank you Kaye and David. "
