Off street parking was a real boon.
Very spacious accommodation with a great garden. Had a plumbing issue, due to previous, inconsiderate guests washing beach sand down the bath plughole and causing a blockage. Sorted very quickly by the owners and a plumber, although we wasted a morning waiting in for him to clear the problem. Wherever you're staying, please don't swill sand down a plughole...it doesn't go anywhere and creates problems. All furnishings very comfortable, although the double bed felt slightly narrower than a normal double - it may also be that I'm accustomed to a king-sized bed, so I might be wide of the mark.. One minute walk to Harlech High St, less than five minutes walk to Harlech Castle. The time we spent there was mostly in the enormous kitchen/conservatory, which has more furniture than the average house, along with Velux windows in the roof (electrically operated) and a view over the rooftops of Harlech to the Llyn Peninsula. The kitchen is also very well-equipped, including a dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer, although you'll need to take your own detergents, etcetera...a great trade-off when you can go home with barely any dirty laundry. Probably the best TV in any holiday let we've been in. Large and with a live Netflix account, so plenty of viewing choice for those days when you don't fancy braving the Welsh rain. Recommended.

Communication with Celia was great before and during our stay.
As there was no one in before our arrival she allowed us to enter the bungalow early which was a bonus. On arrival we were greeted with a clean house and a lovely welcome package including Bara Brith and milk for a cuppa after a long journey. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clyd Fan in May 2021. It is well appointed with everything you need for a lovely break and has that home from home feel. The conservatory is great to rest and unwind in as is the garden. There is the relaxing sound of bird song and although you are close to the centre of Harlech you feel as though you are remote. The property has a great sized lounge with Netflix and a new king size bed which was very comfortable Itâs location is great, close to a fish and chip shop and a Chinese takeaway, a minutes walk for a great view of the stunning castle and coastline. The property is literally a couple of minutes walk to the castle and a 15 minute stroll to the coast, maybe quicker if you walk down the world's steepest street. The property is in a great location to explore Snowdonia and all it has to offer. We would definitely stay at Clyd Fan if we were to return to Harlech.

Enjoyed our stay in Arnant so much that we didn't want to go home!
Weather was sunny & warm which was a bonus (who needs to go abroad!) Views from the sun room & top bedroom were fabulous. Very spacious rooms throughout the house. The owner Tim was lovely & very friendly. Came to check we were ok & had everything we needed. We took our own bikes with us but there is no storage at the property for them. We locked them to the railings at the back of the house & they were fine. First visit to Barmouth & we weren't disappointed. Lots to see & do (A week wasn't long enough). It has a lovely beach & this is where we sat & watched the stunning sunsets on an evening. Plenty of hills & mountains to explore with fabulous views. Mawddach trail across Barmouth bridge is good for biking. A flat route suitable for all ages & abilities. You can also walk this trail. We also explored Coed y Brenin forest which isn't too far from the holiday cottage. It has both walking & biking trails. The minortaur bike trail was so much fun we went round it more than once! Plenty of places to eat & drink. Would highly recommend this holiday cottage & Barmouth & will definitely return.

Everyone who has been here has stated that this is an extremely good place and the owners are very friendly.
The conservatory is an added feature with true views over the sea. There is adequate car parking and the walk to the town is approx 20 mins downhill. Barmouth is a well presented town with lots of space and eateries. On the web site it features a number of food places to go to but doesn't mention the Ty Craig hotel close by. This wasn't recommended to us but we went to give it a try and have to say it was excellent both for food and attention. We went back and it was equally welcoming the views from the restaurant over the sea were an added bonus. We were able to travel around covering the Snowdonia area fully, we found the Ffestiniog steam railway brilliant, the !st class carriage for an extra £7 each way really worth it. The scenery was beautiful and the coastal area around Aberdyfi very relaxing.

A beautiful little cottage, in very peaceful and tranquil surroundings.
First impressions are everything they say, so credit to Carys as the arrival led us to book next year on the very first day of arrival. Sited on a working farm, this little gem offers everything from the sounds of the early morning risers in the cows calling their calfâs, to the sheep calling their lambs, the sound of the birds singing, to the very relaxing sound of the stream passing through the front of the cottage. A short walk down the lane led you to local footpaths, the glorious scenery down the valley, and the sounds and smells of the Talyllyn Railway trundling past. This little part of Wales has always been very special to us, and now we have found somewhere echoes this special place in how you are left feeling in the welcome you receive from the moment you arrive by Carys. Thank you.
