What our customers are saying about our Country Cottages In Narberth To Rent.

"Eight of us spent three days here over the New Year and had a great time. The size of the cottage and the large open-plan kitchen-diner-lounge area was perfect for this many people to spend time together, and it was equipped with everything we needed. The owners left milk, Prosecco, red wine, white wine and mince pies for us on arrival which was a lovely touch to welcome us after a long drive there. In fact, the owners were great throughout the whole stay. The location was great for what we needed - a base to celebrate the New Year and central for visiting others parts of Pembrokeshire, such as Fishguard and Saundersfoot as we did.Apparently there is a pub only 5 minutes walk up the road but we did not have the opportunity to visit this. The only reason that an overall score of 10 was not given is that the bedding was polyester, rather than cotton, one of the showers in one of the 3 bathrooms was not very effective, and the cottage - converted from an old milking shed - is next to a still-working dairy farm meaning farm noises and smells were in close proximity. However, I would recommend this cottage to anyone that is interested."

"6 adults, 3 children aged 6-10 and 1 dog spanning 3 generations spent a great week here. It was our 3rd visit, because it has so many things going for it that suit our needs. Plenty of space; well equipped, an enclosed garden for the kids to run about in safely. The area is wonderful, with some dog-friendly beaches also suitable for the kids(Tenby South, Manorbier) plus attractions for kids(Folly Farm, Narberth swim pool, Dinosaur Park) and Colby Nat Trust and various coastal walks for the dog. Great pubs nearby e.g. Boar's Head, Lydstep Tavern(very dog friendly), Wiseman's Bridge. The Coop at Kilgetty is large enough for all normal supplies. The owner was very friendly and answered our only request(for more orange recycling bags), the same day. There were minor maintenance issues and some of the flush toi;ets were not great, but the showers and hot water were high standard. You have to be picky to find any substantive to complain about. Overall, a very suitable and comfortable house for a family holiday"

"After many years of booking several cottages a year there are only a few places that I would go back to. Sycamores is one I would most certainly go back to. I’ve also recommended it to others. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house and garden are a great size. Plenty of room. We were 7 adults, 5 young kids and 2 babies and there was plenty of room, plus some spare. So many bedrooms and bathrooms that we never had a problem. The double lounge also helped separate the adults from the kids when they wanted their space. The babies have just started to walk and the house (with all the stair gates) was fine for them to roam fairly freely. The house was clean and tidy and the owners were lovely. They are next door if needed, but we didn’t feel over watched or anything. They gave a fantastic welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cake, which was really yummy. As I say, I would totally recommend this cottage and would go again."

"Tucked away up the hill and linked to main roads by typical narrow Welsh lanes the cottage offered a relaxing escape into the countryside. The end terraced cottage was very clean and well thought out with up to date utensils and equipment and untainted spring drinking water. The separate indoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi were immaculate, clean and a real touch of modern luxury accessible from early morning until the evening. Ed the host was a real friendly and helpful chap who had taken a lot of effort to make sure the facilities at the pool and within the cottage were top notch. Very informative and clear help guides, house book and things to do suggestions available to hand. Very good TV. Wi-Fi a bit iffy with speed to be expected and mobile signal rarely available, but who needs it on holiday anyway. Overall it was excellent and very recommendable."

"We've stayed in many self-catering cottages around Britain, several of them since we've had dogs, and The Stables is surely among the best, if not the best. It could not be more dog-friendly, and the location and surroundings are ideal with a lovely walk through the woods full of birdlife, straight out of the door and down to a stream, well away from the road. The dogs loved it so much they had us up at 6 every morning to go and do it - and very pleasant too, after the initial shock to the system! The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, nothing extra required and the welcome from Tina and Colin could not be bettered, with advice as needed on places to visit, some of which we'd otherwise have missed. Location is good too, being near enough to many places of interest in Pembrokeshire, north and south. Thoroughly recommended."
