What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In East Ayrshire To Rent.

"This property is truly well worth the cost, it is in a good location for many of the attractions of South West Scotland, Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran. The location of the property is somewhat secluded down a track but it is such a tranquil location surrounded by fields and the River Ayr. The owners Linda and Bob Forbes live on site but apart from the most friendliest of greetings you seldom see them but they are always available if required. The Barn is extremely comfortable, it is in superb condition with all the modern appliances one would require, there is Wifi which is reliable and adequate for most peoples needs ( you are, after all , on holiday !) The family bathroom and en-suite are very spacious both having large walk in showers with a powerful water flow. On arrival you will find Linda and Bob have provided a jar of homemade marmalade, a home made loaf, eggs, fruit and milk for you to have as they say " breakfast on them" We would not hesitate to return and neither would our dog Molly who loved the place even though she was wary of the cows that are in some of the fields. So if you are looking for a holiday cottage in this area then The Barn should be your number one choice. There is also another property on the site, The Stables , which from what the occupants told us is just as well appointed as The Barn."

"First impression - wow! Having stayed there for 3 days - Idyllic! Knowing it was recently refurbished for holiday lets, we expected it to be fresh and clean but were blown away by how luxurious it felt. The quality is on par with a good quality hotel but the finishing touches give it a lovely homely feel. The rooms are spacious and there is a lovely fenced garden area which our toddler enjoyed running around. The kitchen is the best equipped I have ever seen in a holiday let and the generous welcome pack let us settle straight in without wondering where to get the basics. The setting is beautiful too, set in a valley between farmland and forest. It feels remote as, apart from the owners house, there are no other properties in sight. However, within a few minutes, you can be on a main road on your way to the many attractions in the area. Really loved this place and the friendly owners really seem to have thought of everything."

"This cottage holiday could suit everyone. A romantic break in the countryside for young or old. Beautifully equipped with lots of homely touches. Very clean and up to date - recycling encouraged, didn't seem to lack anything. Access to 40 miles of riverside walks - fishing can be arranged through the owner. The enclosed garden has seating area and lovely views. My teenagers loved the countryside and it's not far from the coastal town of ayr. There are good tourist attractions nearby, Castles, beaches, islands and the town itself has all the amenities you would want. A car is essential as the cottage is situated in a rural area a short drive from town. We all loved it so much and will return in the future. This was affordable luxury and a real treat. Once again can't thank the owner's enough for all the small touches that made this so special."

"We had a wonderful break! Great location if you want to get away from it all and just chill. We were made most welcome, with Linda showing us around and making sure we knew how things worked. The cottage was very cosy and that was without using the log burner. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you would need - Linda had thought of everything, even down to dishwasher tablets, liquitabs for the washing machine and new dishcloths for the kitchen and separate colour coded ones for the bathrooms! There was plenty of information on all the local tourist attractions. Loved the welcome pack with homemade bread and marmalade, tea and coffee, and a nice surprise of fresh orange juice, milk and butter in the fridge. No expense was spared on the bed linen, towels and crockery. All in all I would highly recommend this accommodation."

"We were very lucky with wall to wall sunshine all week. The barn was extremely well presented & can safely say it was one of the best holiday cottages we have ever had - Mr & Mrs Forbes had thought of everything. It was very clean & very comfortable. It was quite remote so you do need a car but the quietness was lovely - hearing the woodpeckers & birds & seeing deer on the field & the river to walk along was outstanding. Hubby did some fishing but no fish caught - unfortunately ! We will be going back when we can. If you want a good place to eat we can recommend the Chef Worldwide Buffet in Dundonald - it was very good - all you can eat - we had a 3 course meal plus unlimited soft drinks for £13 each ! Great holiday all round. Oh by the way the trip we took to the Isle of Arran was beautiful. If you can you must go."
