"The Stamp Office is a really, really comfortable and lovely place to stay. We were there for one month with our two kids (5 and 3) and loved it. The house itself was very comfortable with all of the mod-cons, plus of course it has a great history which you feel while there, and the town of Hebden Bridge is just great. The house is very close to the centre of town, only 1-2 minutes to shops, pubs, a cinema, and all of the wonderful things right in the heart of Hebden Bridge. It is also only 3-4 minutes from the station where you can get a train to Manchester or Leeds. There are views from most rooms which are very, very nice. The main sitting room downstairs is just beautiful and a lovely place to relax. One downside is that it is near the intersection of two main roads, which for us with kids of 3 and 5 meant we were a little nervous crossing roads to get into town. But, you realise you need to be careful and you are, and this potential downside is offset by the fact that you are so close to town and the train (and also bus stops to other places nearby like Haworth and Halifax). Without kids, this is no big deal at all, and means you are SO close to the centre of town which is very handy. Also, because the bedrooms are on the first floor, and because of the hills, there is very little noise in the house itself even though there is a bit of traffic on these roads. Our hosts were lovely people, and we had a great time here. Without doubt, it is a great spot to stay."

"Have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Fabulous views and great walks, even if a wee bit hilly...gets the old lungs working when we live at sea level. Our accommodation was fantastic, a barn which has converted into three spacious living areas, exceptionally clean, modern, and very well equipped. Jokingly we tried to think of something that wasn't provided...the only thing we could come up with was a cheese grater !! (not that we actually needed one haha, but bet Nicky after this comment will supply one, as she does seem to think of absolutely everything) Thank you so much for the most unexpected lovely friendly touches like flowers, wine, cake, milk and biscuits on arrival. Max enjoyed his welcome dog chews too. You have thought of everything ! We both loved the local bar The Robin Hood. So many friendly people. All bars, shops etc are so dog friendly it's fantastic. Hope to come again as four days was not enough !"

"Hove Wood View is equipped to a very high standard, with comfortable beds and a lovely view from the back, across the valley. The nearby Hinchliffe Pub serves superb food and makes all guests very welcome (within walking distance for most). Tv, telephone and broadband signals work very well. You need a car, unless you're happy to take the bus (stop is nearby). The website photograph is slightly deceptive, as there is actually no grass at the back which children could play on. As a mature couple, we were perfectly happy with the terrace, table and chairs. Heating worked well. Be advised that the road at the back front of the property is busy during the rush hours - not something we had anticipated. However, it didn't really disturb us and we slept well. We will definitely return, as Hebden Bridge is a lovely town (5 miles) as is the area of Cragg Vale. Full of history!"

"We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in The Stamp Office. From the owners calling me to make certain everything was fine for our arrival as they were away the day we arrived to the box of chocolates they couldn't have been nicer. The house is spacious and well equipped with very comfortable beds we felt very much at home. The house is well located for all the pleasures of Hebden Bridge without needing to use the car yet so close to some superb countryside, so the best of both worlds. The people in Hebden are very friendly offering advice on things to do we will certainly return. The Stamp Office looks popular from its web site so I have a feeling we will have to book early."

"The stamp office is a lovely house near the centre of Hebden Bridge with everything we need. Two comfortable bedrooms, nice bathroom with good shower, two lips which always helps and a good sized well stocked kitchen and comfortable sitting room. If you want to escape your sister and brother-in-law watching East Enders, there's even another sitting room right at the top of the house with lovely views where you can go to relax. Hebden Bridge itself is full of interesting independent shops and cafes and there are lots of riverside, woodland or hill walks nearby in beautiful countryside. I thoroughly recommend this place for a great holiday."
