What our customers are saying about our Baby Friendly Cottages In Burnham On Sea To Rent.

"The cottage was very basic, and in need of updating. There were no cleaning utensils, (no washing up brush, cloth etc) No broom that we could find, no hand soap, no towels. Although it was "dog friendly" the farm collie dog was quite a bully and kept trying to bite our little dog on his winky (making him yelp). Two small gates either side of the little garden area by the cottages would have both provided protection from the farm dog, but also given our dog a secure place to play with the dog from the cottage next door, without worries about him going off exploring! As it was, he spent the whole time we were there, on a lead- which is not something he usually does. There was no information regarding the "Farm Shop" (no info about when it was open what you could buy there, or prices, and not always manned). We were doing a 6 mile round trip to the nearest garage to get milk etc.The accommodation was clean, the beds were comfortable and the pool was amazing. Wendy was friendly, but her husband shouted at me when I was in the pool after 10 (it hadn't been a problem for my son and his friend the night before, trying to cool down before bed- it was during the heatwave and the accommodation was really hot at night). When I said I was sorry and I would get out he shouted "and I should think so". That told me! A middle aged mother spoken to like a child!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this cottage very much. It is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. The owners are helpful but not intrusive and provided a lovely welcome pack on arrival. It could not possibly be any cleaner. The village location was perfect for us, and views of the church and central situation compensated for any lack of views of fields. It is central but tucked away from the main road with good private parking. The pub is a few yards away and serves excellent food. The village shop is friendly and very well stocked with local produce. For our needs the cottage is perfect and we may well use it again if in Somerset. The only negative for some people might be the lack of a grassed area, but it was not something that bothered us. Overall an outstanding property."

"The cottage had the potential to be ideal for our stay but we were greeted in the kitchen by a mass of flies which we found out, after a couple of days, were coming from a kitchen flip top bin that must have had decaying food left in the bottom. We hung up fly paper and spent time ushering the flies out of the windows. On going upstairs to the bedrooms you were met by an unpleasant smell of drains from the bathroom. It took us about 3 days of putting bleach down them before the smell gradually declined. It was not pleasant to be in the bedroom next to the bathroom because you couldn't get away from the constant odour. The owners appear to have let their eye off of the ball because these problems should have easily been picked up prior to our arrival."

"This was the perfect cottage for a large group - it was spacious and full of character. The huge dining table made all the difference, as it meant that we were all able to cook and eat together. The grounds were beautiful, and it was lovely to be able to spill out onto the lawn. It was also nice to feel completely private, while knowing that the owners were nearby if there were any problems. All the facilities were very well maintained. The location is wonderful, sheltered and surrounded by stunning countryside, and the animals about the place were very friendly! The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A wonderful house in a lovely area. July 2009. "

"Nice Cottage in a quiet location although close enough to local amenities and attractions. Found plenty to do locally in a week. Cottage was well equipped, comfortable and clean. Had some sunny days and always found somewhere around the property whatever the time where we could sit in the sun. We specifically wanted a property with an ensuite shower room so we didn't have to share and assumed there would be some kind of shower in the main bathroom so were disappointed to find there wasn't another shower which meant we had to share the ensuite anyway. Would stay again but only if a second shower could be installed in the main bathroom."
