"we stayed here for our honeymoon! we set off late afternoon so as we were driving into wales it was pitch black! little did we know what we were driving through! we moved in by torch light and un packed! we decided we would order a pizza haha little chance of that as all the takeaways shut at 9.30pm so had to settle for champagne that the owners had left us, when we woke up the next morning i stuck my head out the sky window and nearly fell off the bed! the views were absolutly amazing!!! mountains and fantastic scenery everywhere i looked. there is no where on this earth i would have rather woke up that morning. there is also a little train that runs past the cottage just 6 foot away from the door that toots its horn when it passes, it was like something you only read about in books! over the week we went down the slate mines, climbed snowdon, went to bangor, went to llandudno, climbed another mountain, this was my favourite, every corner we walked around gave us another fantastic view and there were ruins everywhere, old slate cottages still stand as though the people had just upped and left everything as it was, fireplaces still in tact etc, we couldnt believe what we were seeing, we will never forget our honeymoon and i would recomend this cottage without a doubt"

"Two adults stayed for a week with our eleven and nine year old children plus the family dog - everybody had a fantastic week. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a great holiday. Permanent car parking was not available at the cottage (access only) but parking close by on the street presented no problems whatsoever. The cottage is a great base to explore the local hills and we found the abandoned slate mines fascinating. There are loads of small paths and by-ways which it was fun to explore. There are plenty of shops and eateries only a few minutes drive (or train ride!) away in Blaenau Ffestiniog. There is a pub approx 10 mins walk and a great cafe close to the power station, again a ten minute walk. This is also a great location for looking around North Wales - Harlech Castle only half an hour's car ride, we also had a day out on the train to Portmadog and passed within an arm's length of the cottage."

"Mostly everything! The cottage is in a secluded space with views onto a tree house and the mountains - beautiful. There is a little stream next to the house, really relaxing to hear the water running when you wake up instead of a noisy city or cars passing by. Close to towns, easy to get anywhere around North Wales from there. Cooking was a pleasure, lots of space and more than decent selection of pots and pans. Morning visitors (sheep) come around often, you really feel the countryside. Conservatory has been improved, an absolute pleasure to have breakfast and dinners in there. Also has table and chairs outside if you go in Summer."

"A home from home, beautiful cottage, very relaxing. My family enjoyed our week here, the train going past the cottage was great for our little boy.location was good, plenty of things to do,see and visit all within half an hour to an hour away, slate mine was just around the corner, had a great day out there, supermarket and a few take away places only a mile away, very handy.there is a park a few hundred yards along the road past the school, which is great for families. Cottage has everything thing you could think of to make it a most enjoyable stay, a real home from home."

"This is a fabulous holiday cottage in every respect, a stunning location and wonderfully comfortable inside. Surrounded on three sides by forest with stunning views from the front across the valley and up into the mountains beyond. The cottage has a fascinating wild garden to the rear with a small stream and waterfall, lots of wild flowers, shrubs and a variety of trees, attracting birds bees and butterflies. The interior is tastefully furnished and very well equipped. In my long experience of renting cottages this one is right at the top!"
