"S50422 is well equipped and located. The house manager was incredibly helpful and provided a lovely personalised welcome pack. The kitchen is well equipped and the wifi and smart TV were great to have. The house in our opinion could do with some updating in terms of painting. The ceiling is very low in the kitchen, and the shower in the downstairs en-suite bathroom is quite small although works well. There are beams and sloping ceilings upstairs so tall people need to be aware of this!The conservatory is lovely and has a great wood burner – we echo another reviewer’s comments though that this would mean that the downstairs is all incredibly hot in hot weather. The property is well located in terms of being very close to the New Forest and near to the sea and lovely beaches. Nearby are a couple of small towns that have supermarkets and useful shops, and the most local pub (The Plough) serves good food. The road to the pub however is, in our opinion, not one we would walk down as it is a country lane with no lighting and little space to keep out of the road as cars pass. Easy drive to both pubs. The cottage is close to Lymington and Lyndhurst where it is very easy to get to these places.It must be stated however that, contrary to the website description, the property is neither detached nor secluded. Physically attached to the property are working stables and the house is not fully at the end of the lane as stated and the lane is used at all times of the day and into the very late evening by people tending to their horses. You can therefore hear the horses and any related activity from within the house at all hours (including overnight), and in particular this could be heard in the bedrooms. There is also another house within metres of this house also so it is not as secluded as we had hoped for.The garden is lovely although it does look out onto the lane with people driving past as mentioned above therefore it is not private. There are also other houses visible from the garden, and we could hear children / tractors / renovation noises etc. If you are early risers and don’t mind some neighbour noise and are not particularly concerned about people coming and going then this is a lovely location and house; but if, like us, you were specifically looking for a fully detached and secluded peaceful property with no near neighbours and a good level of privacy then we would not recommend this property."

"S43649 is a well presented and spotlessly clean holiday cottage in The new forest.The owners provided pretty much everything we could've needed , including deck chairs and a barbecue, for which they even provided a basket of charcoal briquettes.The welcome basket of goodies they left for us was also a nice touch, and much appreciated.We met the owners, Robert and Caroline on the first day of our stay, and they were very friendly and welcoming towards us and we had a long chat with them.I mentioned that pretty much everything was provided, but one small suggestion would be some kind of a fan in the bedroom.We were lucky enough to have a good week weather wise, but the heat made sleeping difficult and we missed the fan that we have in our bedroom at home.All in all we had an enjoyable week, and I would recommend S43649, although personally we will not be returning as the one drawback we found was that S43649 is essentially an annex built onto the owners home and the windows looked out directly onto their driveway and garden. We prefer a bit more seclusion when we hire a cottage, although we did have our own fenced patio area."

"S43649 is in the perfect location and the owners are lovely people. The cottage was extremely clean, personally I felt the decor was very dated and reminded me of how our home was decorated in the 1980’s! The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome basket was good.The plus points are the perfect location, the standard of cleanliness and an extremely comfortable bed!The negatives are the dated decor and the bathroom, which definitely belongs in the 1980’s. The corner bath is extremely uncomfortable and the shower is terrible with poor water pressure. If I could change anything it would be the bathroom. Also, we stayed for two weeks and were provided with clean towels and bed linen at the end of the first week. To be honest we weren’t expecting to be changing the bed ourselves when we’re on holiday.All in all we had a lovely holiday, the positives outweighed the negatives and we would stay here again if we return to the New Forest."

"I was born in Salisbury, so the New Forest and its' coastline are areas of huge sentimental interest. I planned my 60th Birthday celebrations around inviting family and friends to somewhere we could all enjoy, with my two Yorkshire Terriers, in tow, too! "S14070" looked the perfect choice and we were all amazed at the quality and range of facilities provided - beyond perfect in every way! The area is brilliant, Keith and Debbie own and manage a super holiday home and were totally attentive to everything we might need. Everyone who came along loved the place and I'm sure, will book it for themselves, in the future. I certainly would book it again - and the dogs agree with me, of course!!"

"What a superb stunning place the pool the house itself is fantastic stunning garden ,for 1 week in my life I lived the life of a millionaire and I thank the owners for that, it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for hopefully if we save up we can go again ,the pictures do not do this place justice at all ,the house is worth 1.75 million pounds and it shows everything you need is in the house we had fantastic weather so it helps, it’s super dog friendly my golden retriever had the time of his life and he’s come back depressed just like us lol again I thank the owners for renting this out it gives us mere mortals a slice of the good life 😃"
