"THis place was easy to find from instructions given -- this place is fantastic - it was a shame to leave to come home - i could quite easily live there permanantly - the position is brilliant - you get used to the sound of the waterfall quite quickly and sitting on the decking with a glass of something enjoying the scenery is very hypnotising - -- there is no TV signal but plenty DVDs to watch ( we took a few of our own ) -- we didnt miss the TV - mobile signal is poor ( depending on your network ) but you can live with that -- the surrounding scenery and places to go and thing to do - ( we ran our of days ) I am a fly fisher and i could not find much info on web before we went but when you get there - there is an angling shop in most towns and villages or the post offices will give you plenty opportunities ( REMEMBER if your not from England / Wales you woll need a rod license )"

"What a beautiful little hidden gem, a real get away from it all place to stay. Sat right on the River Dovey and surrounded by the Welsh hills and countryside you feel like the only people in the world but you are only a short drive from civilisation if you want it. We have just enjoyed a really relaxing holiday in this lovely Welsh stone cottage with a cosy wood burner and no tv, except to watch DVDs on if you wish too. I was happy to just sit and read and listen to the roaring river running right next to the cottage and watch the flickering flames of the log burner, then there are all of the birds to watch from the window seat in the bedroom. I can't emphasise how great a place this is to stay, there was every thing we needed and we were very comfortable with all furnishings etc . Decorated to an authentic style with well equipped kitchen and a downstairs shower room. "

"The address we had been given gave just the house name and town - no street name - so it took ages to find the place. The description said there was on-road parking but there was none and paying £8+ per vehicle per 24 hours at the town car park was very pricey as we had 4 vehicles between us!! When we arrived the house had been given a wipe over but was by no means clean and outside the back door in a very grubby yard there was a grill pan overflowing with greasy water which we had no choice but to clean if we wanted to use the grill. The house was supposed to be for 7 people but although there was plenty of room in the bedrooms and the bathroom was lovely, the living room and dining room were too small to accommodate 7 people at once in any kind of comfort and the kitchen was tiny."

"We had an absolutely perfect week long stay at this fantastic cottage in North Wales. It's location on a quiet lane right on the banks of the River Dovey just cannot be beaten if you are looking to get away from it all and immerse yourself in the beautiful Welsh countryside. The fully renovated cottage itself is very comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen and relaxing lounge. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very soundly. The views from the lounge, kitchen and bedrooms of the river and surrounding countryside are breathtaking. The wildlife living in the area is amazing with a huge variety of birds including Dippers, pheasants, Ospreys etc. We cannot wait to return to Pen Y Bont. Very highly recommended."

"Fantastic immaculate cottage, who cares about lack of TV signal? River at the moment is fascinating and loved the bridge further down. Loads of wildlife, too early in the year for salmon, but maybe one year we'll see some. The improvements which have been made, mainly the decking outside, are well done. Having breakfast and evening meals outside on the decking overlooking the river was a real treat. Fantastic views from inside anyway, so even if it's raining, the views are still as great. Central for touring mountains, sea and main towns which is a bonus, nothing is too distant for day trips. If you are looking for a proper relaxing place to stay, this is it. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable."
