If you want a base to travel around North Wales this is great. A lovely. Stone cottage. The hot tub has the best view of any I have been in. We met the husband of the owners who was a nice guy and informative. Central heating very good. Towels and bedding spot on. And the cottage was clean. Hob was good. I suppose for the money it would have been fine, if all was in good order. The bathroom is an OK size with a corner bath with shower over. But the shower is just a dribble, and I mean dribble, easily solved if a pump is installed. There is nowhere to really put your toiletries. And if 6 were staying that would be unacceptable. Again, a shelf put above the window in the alcove would help this. The light switch pull is too high for anyone under 5ft. Easily solved by a couple of eyes screwed into the wood and reroute the pull beside the door, instead of above it. There is no anti slip mat to go in the bath when showering. The TV is basic channels only but bring a fire stick and the WiFi works great to get all your streaming OK. The bin in the kitchen foot pedal not working. Oven socket was loose on the wall. There was no small saucepan and the small frying pan was in a poor condition. The wood burner had not been cleaned out, and the stated first batch of wood was not there. The games room with the pool table is a lovely room. Except some lights not working or missing. It's a great pool table spoilt by there being 3 cues, one broken in half, the other two with white plastic tips jammed on and split and also at spurious angles which did not allow any decent games to be played. The handle bar on the second bedroom door keeps falling off. And the wardrobe door doesn't stay shut. There was rubbish laying around the bins beside the cottage. Such small things that are so easy to put right and would make all the difference. This cottage is right near another on the farm called ynys cadno. Very new and at only £200 a week more is far far a better option to book. More luxurious, larger rooms, more TVs, in fact better all round. It was not available for our week. I would expect ynys cadno to be at least £1000 a week more than Ty Cerrig. It dd not make sense at all. We had a good break but only because we were away from the cottage a lot. Fine for 2 people as a base but no more than that I am afraid.

A beautiful little cottage with the most amazing scenery. A very lovely place for families and great location for accessing beaches and other places of interest. Local shop is a 10 minute drive with bigger supermarkets 30 mins drive. Our toddler loved waking up to seeing sheep everyday and the teenagers were entertained with pool, table tennis and hot tub. It has Wi-fi, although it was intermittent at times. We had good 4G service on Vodafone so teenagers could still access movies and music on their devices when they wanted to. Lots of local pubs easily reached by a short drive, we highly recommend Dylans at Criccieth for dinner. The kids loved the stream train ride to Porthmadog, and trampolining in a cave was super fun (if not exhausting). We aren't a walking family so can't comment on trails and hikes but there are plenty! Good value for money.

The views from this cottage are nothing but sensational and the best we have ever had! The hot tub, pool table, table tennis and washing machine/dryer were very much appreciated. However this cottage does need some TLC sadly. The log burner was unsafe to use, as the doors wouldn’t shut and no logs etc provided anyway. We booked wanting a log burner. Attention to detail was lacking, and no instructions on anything left, even how to use the TV or WIFI, bins not explained. The shower is tied together with elastic. This cottage could be out of this world, if some basic TLC was completed. For the price we expected a higher standard. Beautiful location none the less and VERY comfortable beds. Lots of towels provided. We enjoyed the sheep :) Location is central to most of North Wales. Thank you for letting us stay.

This location is amazing! At the end of a long winding lane, with views all over the valley and back to the lake from an amazing hot tub and garden, you would be hard pushed to find a better location for the value. The games rooms facilities (table tennis and pool) kept us all entertained in the evenings and the cosy lounge and main house gave us complete respite following long days exploring the surrounding areas.

The cottage is in the most perfect spot for peace and quiet with stunning views and nature all around. There are plenty of walks, waterfalls and stunning scenery to explore. We very much enjoyed the table tennis and hot tub and the warm welcome we received at the cottage, including the lovely treats we were left to enjoy. The animals were also always a delight to see every day.
