" The cottage had a stale smell on entering, even though it would have been cleaned that morning as previous tenants left. The photos of the bathroom are very decieving as really its just a narrow passage way, 2ft wide where toilet situated and 2ft 3in at the shower end with a tiny basin in middle just big enough to wash hands. The shower soap tray had congealed soap on and around the holder and the rubber seal in shower was black with congealed soap and dirt. The garden area was a mess, weeds everywhere dirty furniture not fit to sit on, didnt look like anything in the garden had been done for a very long time. The TV was advertised as Large TV and DVD it was actually 18inches! no DVD. We had to ring to find out the password to the broadband which worked for two days then dissapeared and couldnt get it on again.Kitchen was basic , we read on the notice there that we had to dispose of our own rubbish to a bin that was about half a mile away. The bedrooms were the cleaner part of the cottage and the beds were comfortable, however there is only 1 wardrobe and 1 set of drawers for the 2bedrooms. Although we had a permit to park it was not safe to park outside the cottage on double yellow lines as the road is not really wide enough ,only two car width so if we had parked it would have caused problems. The road in front of cottage was busy all day long with cars and vans and council trucks , not very peaceful at all! We parked on the car park on the seafront 10minutes walk from cottage. The cottage and garden needs a deep clean and upgrading to bring it up to a decent standard. We actually left early on the Wednesday morning , couldnt wait to get home! Aberdovey is a lovely place to visit, hopefully we will go there again, and find somewhere nice to stay.. "

" The cottage is in a wonderful spot. All front windows look out over the vast Aberdovey estuary. We could not stop looking at the changing tides, bringing with them changes in colour and texture. The outside seating area is much better in reality than the promotional photo. It is completely off the main road and you could eat outside or sit and read in the shade of the trees. The cottage is cosy and well furnished...we wanted to stay longer. It’s location is excellent, close to Aberdovey and yet very quiet and peaceful. On arrival we did have to go and purchase toilet rolls, washing up liquid, dish cloth and paper towels. Cooking equipment, especially for baking / roasting is very limited, but if you plan not to self cater, it is fine. Take a cafeteria if you want coffee. For some reason power to all appliances was off when we arrived. It took us quite a while the work out how to unlock the oven and hot plate and various other items. Once sorted we had a great time and we would recommend staying here. "

"The owners are very accommodating. Due to a logistical error, we arrived a few days late and the owners let us stay a few days more as the place had not been let.The property is very well equipped and even has a shed where you can put bikes, pushchair etc. The shed also houses the washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is well fitted with integrated appliances including a dishwasher. The rest of the property is very well presented.Comfort is a difficult one because everyone is different. I found the seating a little uncomfortable. My wife and daughter found the beds uncomfortable. The property is located very close to all amenities and ample parking is available. There is a chip shop nearby that can be a little smelly as you walk towards the property but it never seemed to enter the property and we had the windows open all the time as it was nearly 30 degrees. In all, I would recommend this property for a couple and would use it again, if I was staying in the area."

"The house is well situated within walking distance of essential shops. Our principal concern was that the property needed some care and attention. Cleaning needed improvement (eg stains on sofa, dust under and around furniture). Information folders tatty and in a mess. Lack of attention to detail generally. Standard lamp not working with ripped shade, light bulbs needed replacing, vacuum cleaner switch dodgy, etc but most irritating was the elaborate instructions for the cooker which could not be interpreted very well because most of the markings on the control panel had been worn away. Wooden floors throughout (except stairs and landing) which made the interior a bit stark. A few mats or rugs would help and make the dog happier. Garden furniture good and hot water good, when we discovered why it wasn't hot when we arrived. "

"The address we had been given gave just the house name and town - no street name - so it took ages to find the place. The description said there was on-road parking but there was none and paying £8+ per vehicle per 24 hours at the town car park was very pricey as we had 4 vehicles between us!! When we arrived the house had been given a wipe over but was by no means clean and outside the back door in a very grubby yard there was a grill pan overflowing with greasy water which we had no choice but to clean if we wanted to use the grill. The house was supposed to be for 7 people but although there was plenty of room in the bedrooms and the bathroom was lovely, the living room and dining room were too small to accommodate 7 people at once in any kind of comfort and the kitchen was tiny."
