What our customers are saying about our School Holiday Cottages In Anstruther To Rent.

"The beds in property are old and worn. Not fit for purpose - would be more comfortable lying on the floor. Floorboards are broken and a tripping hazard. Carpet does not extend to full room in master bedroom. Boiler was faulty on arrival. Engineer arrived late on the Friday to fix - however the hot water was faulty again by the next morning. Boiler is also very loud and situated in cupboard of bedroom 2. Property was up for sale to detriment of external look and feel of property. Advertised car park does not exist - car park is for private use of inhabitants of other properties. Television signal was faulty. Sofas in lounge were old and dirty. Carpets/rugs were old and dirty. We survived one night in the property (and only because it was late and had no other alternative). Avoid at all costs! Anstruther was lovely, so would recommend a trip there - just don't stay at S57755."

"We found the cottage well presented and cosy but not quiet worthy of the 4 star standard we would expect. One of the reasons we chose this cottage was that it stated in the advert that there is 'a 250yrd stroll to the beach' which seemed ideal for dog walking - this is misleading. The walk takes you to a coastal path which is accessed by a potentially dangerous/uneven/slippery steps. You cannot access the beach directly as there are warning signs about coastal erosion and the beach has jagged rocks, this aspect was disappointing. We had some other concerns which we took up with the owners which they said would be corrected."

"Beautiful well equipped house. Really comfortable beds. Heating works well too. Kitchen was very well equipped and has great dishwasher -also washing machine which we did not use. Has dining room with patio doors and nice enclosed garden with table and chairs . House well decorated and has interesting pictures , trinkets etc. Bookshelf with variety of books and dvds also provided. Area is beautiful and very peaceful. House is close to shops and also lovely walk along harbour. Many interesting houses. Area very clean and tidy. Dog friendly too. Any people we met were very friendly and welcoming."

"We enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the views over the harbour were lovely as well as the coastal walks. The Pub next door was very pleasant and handy for some meals, without being any bother. We had some difficulty understanding how to get the induction hob to work. It took 3 days to master. Equipment was up to date and very good, but the settee was not as supportive as we would have wished for TV viewing. A bit disapointed that the bathroom mirror light did not operate. Overall good value for money."

"The S34816 was very modern, clean and well equipped. The log fire was very cosy and Apple TV handy when weather wasn’t very nice. Not really suitable for anyone who has difficulty with stairs as there are several steps up the yard to the enterance then a steep flight of stairs to the apartment. There is Tarven next door which serves food till 8.30pm and a range of drinks, which we would definitely recommend. The coastal walk to Anstruther takes around 30 minutes with beautiful views. We are definitely returning."
