Gwersyllt 1.3 miles. 2 Stoneleigh Cottage is a delightful mid-terrace cottage resting in Summerhill, near Gwersyllt, ideal for a couple looking for a base in Wrecsam. Park off-road and be welcomed into this delightful cottage, discovering a light and airy open-plan living space, sporting an amply fitted kitchen with contemporary furniture, housing plenty of home-from-home amenities to cater to your culinary needs. Guests can enjoy a romantic meal for two at the dining table, before settling into the sitting area beside the electric fire stove to enjoy a movie marathon. Upstairs, freshen up in the stylish shower room before snuggling up in the king-size bedroom, with plenty of storage for your belongings provided by built-in wardrobes. Outside, there is a non-enclosed front garden with furniture, ideal for coffee in the sunshine. Summerhill is a hamlet resting on the outskirts of the town of Gwersyllt, sporting a local pub next door to the property, ideal for a glass of your favourite beverage in the sunshine, as well as access to local walks, Moss Valley Golf Club and Alyn Waters Country Park. For more amenities including eateries and a local shop, head over to Gwersyllt. Further from the property, discover Moss Valley Country Park, an ideal spot for birdwatching, or head over to the Clwydian Range And Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where there are many delightful countryside hikes, including those at World’s End, Moel Morfydd, Castell Dinas Bran and Vivod Mountain. To soak in the culture, dine at the friendly local pub, Wheatsheaf Inn, where you can sample local ales or for a takeaway in the comfort of your holiday home there is Wing Hing for Chinese cuisine. To stock up on the essentials there is Home Bargains and a well-stocked convenience store or for high street stores, head into the heart of Wrexham. Just outside the village is Alyn Waters Country Park, which offers a plethora of scenic trails and the ancient remains of Caergwrle Castle to immerse yourself in the past. For a city steeped in history, why not venture into the Roman city of Chester? Chester is home to a medieval cathedral, fine dining along the River Dee, as well as Roman-built walls for an educational walk around the city.
