About this property

Set upon the stunning and rugged Glamorgan Heritage Coastline, this wonderful natural sanctuary has been meticulously designed, making a perfect retreat for couples and friends to switch off and step back into nature. The local area is steeped in history, St.Donats Castle (0.5 miles) provides a glimpse into Wales’s past and St Illtud’s Church (1.5miles) dates back to c.500AD. Nature lovers and birdwatchers will find plenty to admire whilst exploring the scenic walking trails accessed straight from the doorstep. The popular market town of Cowbridge (6 miles) offers small boutiques and a place to have a lovely brunch. Tresilian Lodge is positioned directly onto the Jurassic coastline, as you progress along the coastline you have a choice of pretty bays and horse riding along spectacular golden sands, leading onto the largest sands dunes in Europe. You can sea swim locally in Llantwit Major or travel a bit further to take lessons in Porthcawl Water sport Centre (15 miles).

From the moment you step through the door of this remote haven, you notice the attention to detail in the design. Beautiful bespoke stained-glass designs, specially selected artwork and local textiles demonstrate the love and passion from which this space has been created. The main living room is a beautiful open-plan sitting and dining area with a 5-metre glass sliding door that allows you to invite the outside in. Here you can curl up with a book in front of the fire and enjoy mealtimes looking out on to the lawn and sea views. Sweep around the living room to discover a peaceful and serene bedroom that offers the utmost comfort for a great night’s sleep. A second cosy twin bedroom is located near the front door and across the hall is a spacious shower room with WC, hand basin and heated towel rail. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you would need to create some tasty treats and whip up some hearty meals to fuel you for your adventures.

Step outside on to your private patio whereby day you can enjoy some marvellous panoramic views across the meadow and to the sea, and by night unwind around the fire pit while you bask under the starry skies.
