Ascot Lodge is praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and peaceful setting, offering a comfortable stay and a good base for exploring the surroundings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the natural beauty, including views of horses in the fields. Some minor issues with Wi-Fi and phone signal strength are noted, and the lack of a secure area for pets is mentioned. Despite some building work disturbance, the lodge remains a recommended choice for a tranquil getaway.

Guests consistently describe the lodge as clean and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The lodge is appreciated for its peaceful and remote setting, with proximity to Cowbridge and local walks. However, the need for own transport due to its remoteness slightly affects the score.

Reviews highlight the lodge's comfort, with a well-flowing layout and comfortable furnishings. The peaceful environment contributes to the overall comfort.

Facilities are generally adequate, but issues with Wi-Fi, phone signal, and lack of secure outdoor space for pets are noted. Building work causing noise was a temporary concern.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

We had a lovely stay here. The lodge is more spacious than we thought, well equipped, clean and comfortable. We used it as a basis to explore the surroundings and visit family close by. The best part was that it was so peaceful and quiet. Would definitely recommend it.

If you are looking to escape everything, then this lovely little site and lodge is perfect! It’s well set up, clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and there are a few lovely walks from the lodge. The WiFi signal in the lodge was not very strong/ stable which didn’t both us, but might some people. Also, whilst the lodge is dog friendly, the veranda / surrounding grass area is not gated / fenced off - so no secure outside area for little pet friends. As a simple and quiet base it’s great - but don’t expect any ‘facilities or entertainment’. There is a very little village you can walk to with a lovely pub … definitely recommend it! Cowbridge is a short drive away with restaurants and a few shops / supermarkets - and many other places beyond if you have your own transport.
