Groes Newydd is a charming cottage in North Wales, praised for its cosy atmosphere, stunning views, and suitability as a peaceful retreat. Guests appreciate the warmth of the Aga, the comfortable furnishings, and the property's proximity to nature and local attractions. The challenging access road adds to the secluded charm, though it may not suit all drivers.
The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with fresh linen and a tidy setup. However, some guests noted areas for improvement, such as dust and the presence of insects, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful scenery, tranquillity, and proximity to walking trails and attractions. The steep and narrow access road is noted, but it contributes to the cottage's secluded appeal.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy beds and a warm Aga. Some mentioned the property can become too warm, and there were comments about the need for better mattresses and protectors, which slightly affects the score.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and reliable Wi-Fi. Maintenance issues, such as garden upkeep and appliance reliability, have been raised, indicating room for improvement.
While guests have mentioned a welcome pack, there are not enough references to consistently assess the level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed and the score is set to null.

The cottage was very comfortable, clean and very well appointed with excellent views. We had a lovely stay and recommend it very highly. Thanks for a great stay!

What a shame the garden gate was off its hangers and we had to prop it up to make the garden dog safe. The lawn could also do with a string. The beds would benefit from having matress and pillowcase protectors. Many thanks Joanne

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, the welcome pack much appreciated. The shared garden was slightly problematic with the two little dogs in the cottage next door wandering around when we wanted to take our dog out who can be a bit reactive when other dogs are off the lead around her, but their owner did call them in when asked. We really enjoyed our stay and are hoping to book to come back later in the year. It was quiet and restful just what we wanted with plenty of lovely beaches and walks not far away.
