Sunnyside Cottage is ideally located for exploring North Wales and it was very peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and overall, the cottage was comfortable and cosy. The biggest thing that let is down for us (well, my 6 foot tall chap!) was the extremely small shower room. The basin is tiny (he struggled to shave in it) and he stood above the fixed head shower, so couldn't shower properly. It was really awkward for him.The parking was also awkward as the lane is so narrow - it took several attempts of pulling in and out to get into the parking space. The cottage is lovely and quirky - very old and full of character and it has been decorated sympathetically, with modern touches. The main living room was lovely and cosy and we enjoyed having breakfast looking out the window and watching the ospreys soaring across the valley, fantastic views! There is a log burner which we didn't use as it would have been too warm for us, but this would be wonderful in the winter. Good size bedroom with plenty of storage and a king size bed, lovely antique and rustic touches finished it off. You expect a few cobwebs etc in such an old house, but I cleaned cobwebs off the bedroom lamp fittings that should have been cleaned. There were also a lot of dog hairs in the rug in the living room - I quickly hoovered these up so not really an issue but it did look like they've been overlooked. Other than that, the place was really clean.Tremadog is a lovely little village with lots of interesting buildings and we loved the fact that we could walk into Porthmadog - 15-20mins walk.If you're not too tall the cottage is perfect and the location is fabulous. Very good value for money and we'd definitely return if it wasn't for the difficult shower situation, a huge shame that the shower room wasn't made bigger as we felt the kitchen was too big for what we needed and some space could have been 'borrowed' from that to make the shower room less awkward. If you're average size and don't have too big a car, the cottage is perfect!

Lovely cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings. Very close to Porthmadog which is a lovely town and harbour. Lots of walking from the doorstep, friendly locals and a great chippy, nice restaurants and a friendly local pub serving guest ales with regular music nights/afternoons.

We loved Sunnyside cottage. Good location and quiet. The view from the bedroom window was particularly lovely to wake up to. The cottage is well equipped, very clean and cosy. Tremadog is a quiet place but we enjoyed it for that reason. It has two good pubs , a great chippy, a shop and good bus links. Would highly recommend.
