Ynys Pandy is a wonderful 19th century farmhouse, nestling in acres of unspoilt peace, overseen by a huge sky with mountains at the front door and a distant horizon towards the sea at the back. The cottage adjoins the owner’s home and sits at the end of a 200 yard driveway which is accessed from an un-named and very quiet country road. The cottage is just a few miles inland from the seaside resorts of Criccieth and harbour town of Porthmadog. The pace of life is slower here and would be an ideal base for a family or two families to enjoy some quality time together and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday. There is plenty of space here for everyone, inside and out! A spacious sitting room offers plenty of comfortable seating, perfect for an evening in, after a day walking on the mountains. Relax in front of the woodburner set in the inglenook fireplace and enjoy your favourite film or reminisce and exchange stories of the day's adventures. The farmhouse-style kitchen caters for all your needs and a comfy breakfast area enjoys early morning coffee or late supper. The conservatory floods with light and opens out to the garden, providing a place to sit and relax, keeping an eye on the little ones playing outside. The dining table provides a more formal place to sit and eat or a great area to enjoy a family game of scrabble! The bathroom is also downstairs with an additional cloakroom, and all four bedrooms are arranged on the first floor. Outside, you can dine alfresco in the evening while you enjoy the vista and sunsets, relaxing after those long walks and days of exploring. Gaze up at the stars long into the night and if you are lucky you may be fortunate enough to see the owls. The amenities of Porthmadog are just five miles away, and attractions within easy reach include Italianate Portmeirion village, Snowdon and its surrounds and castles at Criccieth, Caernarfon, Conwy and Harlech, not to mention sandy beaches, superb walking and a variety of watersports. Porthmadog, known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway, where you can travel by steam to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see.
