About this property

Nestled at the heart of the stunning Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in the pretty village of Llanbedr, discover this detached, Scandinavian-style lodge, Maes Artro. Set in a peaceful location, the lodge provides a wonderful blend of coast and country, with the stunning North Wales coastline only a short drive from your doorstep, perfect for couples, families or groups of friends seeking a memorable getaway in North Wales. After parking up, enter your new home-from-home to discover the spacious, open-plan living area, complimented by the rustic, pine-clad interior guaranteed to make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Kick back and relax on the plush sofas as the warming electric stove-effect fire creates an inviting atmosphere, clicking on the TV to catch up on your favourite shows. Allow the designated chef of the group to get to grips with a fantastic range of appliances in the well-equipped kitchen, before settling down to enjoy mealtimes altogether at the dining area or outside on the decked veranda, perfect for popping corks, stargazing or sharing stories until sundown. After a long day of traversing your lovely surroundings, take a dip in the bubbling hot tub, or escape to the bathroom on the first floor to indulge a long soak in the bath whilst the little ones keep occupied in the games room, complete with a PlayStation 3 and football table! When sleep calls, find three charming bedrooms comprising of a double and two twins, with one residing on the ground floor; complete your evening routine before unwinding and sloping off into a relaxing trance. From your doorstep, take a stroll into Llanbedr where you’ll find a selection of handy shops, pubs and the Neolithic Standing Stones, with the beautiful Shell Island and Morfa Dyffryn Nature Reserve also only a short distance away; amble along the Wales Coastal Path or spend your days building sandcastles, all the while admiring the picturesque views. Lace up your walking boots and attempt to summit the challenging peak of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), or for something less strenuous, spend the day touring Harlech Castle, an impressive medieval structure steeped in history and heritage. Alternatively, journey to the popular seaside towns of Porthmadog or Barmouth, home to Barmouth Beach, Barmouth Pier, and Barmouth Bridge, perfect for a photo opportunity or basking in breathtaking views over Afon Mawddach and beyond. Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation or a blend of both, Maes Artro has everything you need to make everlasting memories in North Wales.

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Situated next to the beautiful River Artro, and boasting a mild climate due to its unusual positioning behind the high dunes of a nature reserve, this charming village has an exciting array of wildlife and birds, handy local shops, bike hire and mountain walks on your doorstep, as well as two excellent pubs. The small town of Harlech is just 3 miles away and boasts the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a majestic 13th century stronghold, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants and the most magnificent six-mile long sandy beach, perfect for wonderful walks and family fun. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, providing breathtaking vistas, which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway, or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing. With the delights of Snowdonia National Park and beautiful Cardigan Bay to discover, this is a fantastic holiday location at any time of the year.

It is so warm, cosy and comfortable and situated in a perfect location. A walk to the waterfall via a few friendly pubs or a visit to Harlech or Barmouth by car. The festive touches in the Lodge and the mulled wine, welsh cakes etc were a very much appreciated added bonus. Communication was brilliant too. We love visiting your Lodge very much and can't wait to return. Many thanks again
