About this property

Llanbedr 5.0 miles. Sitting picture-perfect and surrounded by countryside on the outskirts of Llanbedr, Gwynedd is this handcrafted dwelling, Rhinog - Shepherds Hut. Benefitting from ground-floor living, a woodburning stove and wood-fired hot tub, Rhinog - Shepherds Hut welcomes two guests, perfect for couples or even two friends sharing seeking a tranquil escape to North Wales. Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home to be impressed by an inviting open-plan interior, complete with a well-stocked kitchenette, intimate dining and sitting area so you can experience all the benefits of a rural retreat. If the weather permits, move mealtimes outdoors onto the private front garden as you delight in a favourite tipple, or warm up in the bubbling hot tub during cooler months. Wash away the day in a sleek shower room, before cosying up in the plush double bed as the woodburning stove roars away next to you, winding down in preparation for another day of adventures. If you can tear yourself away, begin your adventures in Barmouth, where you can relax upon the sandy haven of Traeth Abermaw Beach, stroll along Barmouth Pier and cross the imposing Barmouth Bridge, before ending back at The Lobster Pot, perfect for sampling a host of fresh and local produce. Travelling north, be sure to stop off at Harlech Castle and Coed Crafnant North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, or challenge yourself to summit the renowned Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and soak in the stunning views across North Wales. Further afield, discover the treasures of Bangor, Caernarfon and Llanberis with a whole host of things to see and do. Whisk your loved one away on an unforgettable retreat to North Wales.

Between the breathtaking golden beaches of the North Wales coastline and The Rhinogs, a section of the Snowdonia Mountains, is the peaceful community of Dyffryn Ardudwy. Due to its peculiar location, this quaint community enjoys a warm climate and has excellent local restaurants and bars. A fascinating variety of animals and birds, including soaring buzzards, can be found nearby. Just 4 miles away lies the little town of Harlech, which is dominated by its magnificent 13th-century castle, a World Heritage Site and the most stunning of all the castles Edward I built in North Wales. Due to its renowned Royal St. David's course, Harlech is well-liked among golfers. It also has a great selection of amenities, including some high-quality restaurants. A ferry to Fairbourne, where you may ride the miniature railway, or a boat journey out to sea where you can try your hand at mackerel fishing, are both available from the harbour in the nearby town of Barmouth. This is a great holiday destination all year round because of the wonders of Snowdonia National Park and stunning Cardigan Bay.

Being a luxury glamping business owner myself i don't usually leave reviews but i do feel this place is great for peace and wellbeing. My only slight criticism is the signs could have been bigger to find the place. I also feel the couple running this farm deserve a special mention as they are genuine good hard working people that go out their way to ensure a comfortable stay and i enjoyed talking with them about the challenges they face being in such a out of the way location. My only regret is that i didn't get a chance to say goodbye and to thank them. Keep up the good work guys!! and get yourself online and independent!!!

The bests things were the Hot Tub, under floor heating and the amazing mountain views we woke up to every morning. All facilities were great. The local Victoria Inn Pub is well worth a visit, very cosy and friendly. Our visit to the Shepherd Hut was amazing, couldn't have asked for anything more!! xx
