The majority of guests have highlighted the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. This consistent feedback suggests a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is frequently praised for its stunning views and proximity to walking trails and local attractions. Some guests mentioned noise from the street and the challenging access road, but these were minor points in otherwise positive feedback.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with special mentions of the log burner and the welcoming atmosphere. A few comments about the size of the sofas and the temperature in the shower room suggest slight room for improvement.

This delightful semi-detached cottage is situated in the pretty village of Tanygrisiau and enjoys a quiet position in a small area known locally as Cwmorthin, which is situated high above the village itself, just over a mile from the historic mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The cottage provides an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of North Wales and will suit a couple perfectly. Offering well-appointed, and for a cottage, spacious holiday accommodation, this charming holiday home is welcoming and styled with comfort in mind with homely touches and modern day comforts. The open plan living area is light and airy with good lighting and boasts a lovely wood burning stove, adding some real appeal, perfect for those cosier evenings, when after a day on the mountains, all you want to do is relax and snuggle up watching your favourite film with the flames dancing and logs crackling. The kitchen area is well-equipped and modern with a comfy dining area, and a spacious double bedroom and shower room on the first floor complete this delightful cottage. With a backdrop of the Moelwyn Mountains is an enclosed raised garden area with seating. There are some wonderful walks from the cottage, one in particular, where you can amble through the abandoned slate mines of the Rhosydd Quarry is stunning, and the scenery is nothing short of breathtaking. The famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam railway, Zipworld Titan and Caverns, the longest 4 man zip in Europe, and Bounce Below, an underground trampoline, and the magnificent slate caverns at Llechwedd, are all close by. There really is something for everyone within this superb area of North Wales.
The traditional Welsh village of Tanygrisiau, meaning "below the steps'' is situated within reach of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The village stands amongst dramatic scenery, and Tanygrisiau is a good starting point for many walks, especially if your intention is to climb Moelwyn itself. Tanygrisiau railway station is on the famous Ffestiniog Railway, a narrow gauge railway built to carry slate from the mines down to the sea at Porthmadog; today it is a renowned tourist attraction providing stunning views on its trip to the coast.
