Further afield, Porthmadog is a charming harbour town. From here, you can hop on the Ffestiniog or Welsh Highland Railways for a scenic journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Wales. The area is a walker’s paradise, with numerous trails to explore. The Mawddach Trail, a gentle 9-mile route along a disused railway line, offers stunning estuary views. Very clean accommodation and dog friendly perfect for us as it was only a short walk to the beach. Garden was secure. The hot tub was lovely and a good size. The owners lived close by so on hand if you need anything anytime. The train station is only a short walk away we caught a train into Barmouth it was lovely.

On the whole, the stay at Erddyn was amazing, we couldnt fault it. We were really impressed by the cleanliness and quality of the cottage and the hot tub was a nice little bonus. As a family of 5 (2 adults, a teenager and 2 younger children) the size was perfect. However when my elder daughter came to visit for the day we struggled sitting in the longe area. If we were to be 'picky' the internal sitting space would need to cater for more people. E.g. a footstool, to provide more sitting for more people. Also a standing lamp in the living area would be beneficial. But these are tiny tweaks that would of enhanced our stay but didn't impact the time we had, as my daughter just visited for the day. It was a lovely week spent. Would 100% recommend and would return.

Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Living area maybe a bit snug for six people but was fine for four adults. But would highly recommend this accommodation. The location is good too.
