Ty Hir is a well-maintained cottage offering stunning views and a peaceful, rural setting on a working farm. Guests appreciate the clean, cosy, and comfortable accommodations, with a wood burner adding to the charm. The location is ideal for exploring Snowdonia, despite the challenging access via a steep farm track. The presence of farm animals adds to the authentic experience, though some guests noted disruptions from barking dogs.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and comfortable, with fresh bedding and well-maintained rooms. However, a few mentioned the presence of cobwebs and dust, suggesting room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The cottage's location is praised for its beautiful views and tranquillity, ideal for a restful holiday. However, the steep, single-track access road and proximity to farm activities were concerns for some guests, affecting the overall score.
Guests found the cottage cosy, particularly with the wood burner, and the beds comfortable. However, comments about the lack of comfortable seating and outdoor chairs, as well as noise from farm dogs, suggest that comfort could be enhanced.
The cottage is equipped with essential facilities, and guests were pleased with the kitchen and bathroom amenities. However, issues with signage, TV and broadband outages, and a lack of outdoor seating have impacted the score.
While guests mentioned friendly interactions with the owners and a welcoming atmosphere, there were no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be given for this category.

sadly we had at least two dogs on the farm next door that decided to bark for most of the nights.

It was well equipped, with a good cooker, washing machine and dish washer. The owner's house (unoccupied during our stay) is one one side, and farm buildings on the other, but we didn't feel at all hemmed in. Thereâs a little patio with views down towards Porthmadog.

We had an amazing stay we would definitely stay again. The only negative I would give is maybe a comfortable couch as after a long day walking the one the is ther is not very comfortable.
