It is just 3 miles to the pretty town of Dolgellau, offering a range of places to eat and drink.  Dolgellau is also the starting point of the Mawddach Trail, a level 9 mile walk along the old railway line to Barmouth.  The large sandy beach at Barmouth is well worth a visit &ndas. . .
