Take a short drive to the lovely village of Beddgelert for riverside walks, pubs and cafes or Llanberis (7.5 miles). Whilst there, hop aboard the famous Snowdon Mountain Railway - Britain’s only public rack-and-pinion railway - or visit the National Slate Museum to discover the fascinating industrial heritage of the region. Or why not explore the wild swimming and watersports at Llyn Padarn. Nearby Caernarfon castle is also a must visit whilst in the area.
