The cottage is ideally situated for the beach and the local town. However, there was a definite doggy smell especially in the bedroom which was disappointing. The kitchen also lacked a few basic items such as only having 1 saucepan and no baking trays for the oven. This is a drawback for us as we like to cook for ourselves rather than eating out all of the time.

An absolute gem of a find, a credit to the owner and to Cottages.com. Literally a home from home inside. Everything well thought out to make your stay a very comfortable one, with lots of nice extras, (books, games etc.), and seaside touches. The location was excellent for the town, beach, bridge and many lovely walks. I didn't leave Barmouth for the entire week, just relaxed and enjoyed the surroundings. Free parking just a few minutes away. Having a dog that struggles with close proximity to other dogs, the rooftop terrace was a Godsend as we could sit out and enjoy the sunshine stress free. I can see why Y Gweithdy consistently gets great reviews and has won Customer Choice awards. I'll recommend to friends and family and will be back myself. Many thanks!
