Snaptrip says

Hen Bopty is a charming and traditional Welsh cottage in Fairbourne, appreciated for its comfort, private garden, and proximity to the beach and scenic walks. Guests have praised the well-equipped kitchen, cosy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches, including Welsh cakes. While some have raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance, the majority reflect a pleasant stay with a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the cottage to be immaculate and wonderfully clean, while others reported issues such as an unclean fridge, cobwebs, and a smell of damp. The positive experiences suggest that cleanliness is generally maintained, but there is room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to the beach, and beautiful walks. It is described as idyllic and peaceful, with easy access to local amenities and nearby towns. The scenic views and accessibility to outdoor activities contribute to a high rating.

Guests have frequently mentioned the comfort of the beds and the cosy, warm atmosphere of the cottage. The property is described as homely and comfortable, with a few reports of a smell possibly related to heating oil affecting comfort levels.

Facilities are generally good, with the property being well-equipped. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a loose bench leg, a broken stool, and a problematic log burner. While these issues are not widespread, they do indicate a need for attention to facilities and maintenance.

While guests have mentioned thoughtful touches like Welsh cakes, there is not enough consistent information about additional extras or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such thoughtful gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Fantastic property well equipped and clean- our only problem was that the tv didn’t have a signal after Wednesday but it was blowing a gale at the time would recommend if you’re touring that part of north mid wales

The cottage is extremely well equipped with all the comforts of home. There were Shops, Grill Bar and a down to earth Golf Club and Beach all within walking distance. Everywhere was dog friendly. Great walks nearby and some stunning scenery all within a short drive from the cottage. We will definitely be recommending the property to family and friends and indeed will be booking for ourselves and our dog Charlie again soon. Adrian & Carole
