Parking permit for 1 car provided. No smoking.. Nestled in the heart of Aberdovey, Seagrass Cottage is the perfect retreat for up to four guests, offering a blend of charm and modern comfort.
Located on Church Street, Seagrass Cottage places you in the very centre of village life. Just a short stroll away, you’ll find Aberdovey’s independent shops, welcoming restaurants, and local attractions. And with the beach only a stone’s throw away, it’s easy to experience the stunning Welsh coastline right at your doorstep. The cottage boasts a warm and inviting open-plan living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area. There are patio doors that lead out to a small but private terrace - a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Upstairs you’ll find two cosy bedrooms, including one with full-size bunk beds for children or adventurous adults and the other a double. Plus, the bathroom with shower and washing machine is conveniently located on this floor. There are so many activities on offer, inviting you to make the most of your stay, whether for a short getaway or an extended visit.
If you’re keen to explore the surrounding area, the local train service offers a great way to discover nearby towns. A Ranger or Rover ticket lets you hop on and off throughout the day, making the most of your time in this picturesque part of Wales. If you’re in the mood for adventure, the beach offers endless possibilities. Whether you’re building sandcastles, jumping off the jetty, or toasting marshmallows by a fire made from driftwood, Aberdovey’s shoreline is a perfect playground for all ages. A scenic walk along the beach to Tywyn is well worth it. Venture further afield, and you’ll find even more to explore.
Take a nostalgic trip to the Magic Lantern cinema in Tywyn, with its Secret Garden serving drinks and tapas. Visit the waterfalls at Dolgoch, reached via the scenic Tal-y-Llyn railway, or head to the Honey Ice Cream shop in Tywyn for a taste of their famous whippy ice cream.

A perfect location for those like me who chose a car free holiday. Excellent train and bus services and delightful local walks.All that Aberdovey offers is on your doorstep and you'll be very comfortable here.

The cottage had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Comfy beds, lovely linen and towels and was lovely and warm when we need it to be. Aberdyfi itself is a real gem of a place - it was like stepping back in time, but had everything you needed within walking distance. Pubs offering food, a cafe, a wonderful fish and chip shop, a well stocked convenience store, a terrific butchers and best of all Isobel’s Deli! The station is a 10 minute walk away and we found the trains to be very reliable. You pay for your fare to a conductor and we used the service to visit Barmouth, Harlech Castle and you can get within a 2 mile walk of Portmeirion- which was one of the highlights of our visit. The beach is lovely - the only negative we could find is that dog owners seem to ignore the no dogs on the beach signs. I would live in Aberdyfi if my family were closer ❤️

Had a fabulous few days in the cottage with my 2 children and which was used as a base to explore the area by car and train. Cottage was tidy, well equipped and well presented.
