Nant Cottage is highly praised for its idyllic setting, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the tranquil location, perfect for walks and relaxation, with a beautiful waterfall nearby. Reviews consistently mention the cottage being spotless and extremely clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness maintained by the owners.
The location is celebrated for its tranquility, proximity to nature, and accessibility to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring North Wales.
The cottage is described as comfortable and cosy, with a log burner adding to the ambience. However, some guests noted the beds were on the harder side and the staircase was not suitable for those with limited mobility.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-stocked kitchen and maintained gardens. Some minor issues with the shower and a suggestion for a grab rail indicate room for improvement.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches by the owners, such as welcome scones and cream teas. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.
Llanrwst 1 mile; Betws-y-Coed 3 miles.
A superb, detached stone-built cottage situated in a truly idyllic woodland position on the edge of the Gwydir Forest and only 300 yards from Gwydir Castle, within the Snowdonia National Park. The property enjoys over three hundred years of history and retains many original features including two foot thick stone walls, inglenook fireplaces and beamed ceilings. More recently it has been sympathetically modernised to an exceptionally high standard and offers every modern comfort. Visitors will also enjoy the sunny garden and the sound of nearby waterfalls. Betws-y-Coed, with its many amenities, is three miles away.
Betwys-Y-Coed is the most popular holiday destination in North Wales. When you take a look at what it has to offer, it's easy to see why. The town is, quite literally, the Gateway to Snowdonia, a breathtaking National Park comprising 832 square miles of the most beautiful and unspoilt countryside in North Wales. The whole region is a haven for walkers and wildlife enthusiasts and there are also a variety of outdoor activities including cycling, mountain walks and horse riding. The River Conwy also plays host to many fishermen and boaters who enjoy the tranquillity and beautiful scenery. Bets-Y-Coed is well served by shops and restaurants, making it the perfect base from which to explore the area.

Fabulous surroundings. The best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. Warm and comfortable. Hope to go back one day.

The cottage was very cosy and warm, and had everything we needed. Such a beautiful place to stay, especially with the waterfalls just a short walk from the house.

The grounds beautiful, the birds and squirrel a true joy to watch each morning.Would say that it's not for anyone who struggles with steps. The three down to the kitchen were in dire need of a small grab rail. I managed to fall down them cracking a rib and my poor nose. That said it was in the middle of the night and I was half asleep. ( No alcohol inbolved at all!) Surrounding area very beautiful with all you need in Llanrwst (Fab chip shop and Chinese takeaway!!) We left a night early due to Storm Amy, and a power cut. Would recommend to my more agile friends! Thank you for a wonderful week. The scones on arrival as well as milk and cream a really thoughtful and very welcome gift. Hope to visit again in the future.
