River Lodge Annexe is a lovely, clean, and modern cottage in Pentre, ideal for couples or small families. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the accommodating hosts and find the property perfect for staying in, especially during bad weather. The proximity to transport links is a plus, although the surrounding area has limited attractions beyond local pubs.
Reviewers consistently mention the cleanliness of the property, describing it as 'very clean' and 'lovely,' indicating high standards of hygiene and upkeep.
The location is appreciated for its convenience to transport links, but the area is described as 'a little bit run down.' The presence of pubs is noted, but a lack of other attractions suggests the location is good but not exceptional.
The cottage is praised for its comfort, especially for couples, with one review highlighting it as 'perfect for a couple.' However, it may be less suitable for larger families, which slightly affects the score.
There is insufficient information to accurately score the facilities and maintenance of the property, as the reviews do not provide specific details on these aspects.
While guests speak highly of the hosts' accommodating nature, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would allow for an assessment of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

Lovely property suited my needs perfectly for me and my son. Had everything we needed was warm and comfortable. Train station 5 minute walk away which we used into Cardiff city centre. Property was also just a 35 minute drive to go mountain biking at Bike Park Wales. The only negative was that the food waste bin had not been emptied from previous guest so was full of mouldy food.
