With its own entrance and private garden area, this cosy apartment enjoys wonderful far-reaching views across the Severn Valley to the hills beyond. The Garden Apartment is on the lower ground floor of the owners' house in the hamlet of Fron, 3 miles from Welshpool and 5 miles from the historic border town of Montgomery. The apartment is approached from the parking area via a steeply sloping path, with handrails; the apartment is then all on one level.
The attractively furnished living room has a sofa, tub chair, electric flame-effect fire, TV with DVD player, dresser and a dining table and chairs for two in the window, to enjoy the lovely view. The separate, compact kitchen is neatly fitted, with an electric cooker, microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment. The double bedroom also has valley views, and the spacious bathroom has WC, basin, bath and separate shower cubicle. Central heating is run off the owners' system and guests have use of their utility room, with washing machine and tumble dryer, by arrangement. WiFi available. To the side of the property is a private lawned area with garden furniture, seating also on the shared paved area to the rear of the property, overlooking the owners’ extensive, attractive gardens with views over the river Severn and surrounding countryside.
Excellent local walking including Offa's Dyke, Severn Way and the Kerry Ridgeway. Nearby attractions include Powis Castle (NT), Montgomery and Dolforwyn castles, Welshpool-Llanfair steam railway, and Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture. Several golf courses in the area, including the historic course at Golfa, Welshpool. This is an ideal location for touring Mid Wales and the Shropshire borders, yet also a pleasant drive to historic Machynlleth, the south Snowdonia National Park and the coast at picturesque Aberdyfi.

Beautiful location. Mr & Mrs Evans were most welcoming and all the goodies, including chocolate bunnies for Easter, were much appreciated. One of the best properties for all round facilities and space we have stayed in. Excellent overall.
