This generously appointed property invites a total of eight guests to stay, with four bedrooms each providing its own sense of privacy and romantic touches. There’s a sociable feel to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that greets you on the ground floor, made for restful mornings and late-night lounging. Settle down into sofas in the comfy lounge space with a Smart TV and wood burner for movie nights. All four bedrooms that the property offers are equipped with additional Smart TVs, ideal when sneaking away for a cosy night in for two. There are also four separate bathrooms, three of which are en-suites, meaning facilities needn’t be shared during your stay. Each bedroom is also furnished with a zip-and-link bed to be made up as a super-king-size or a twin, ideal for varying guest makeups.

Surrounded by both the Elan and Claerwen Valleys, you’ll never fall short of scenery to explore, pathways to hike and routes to bike when staying in this area. Embark on all sorts of adventures from Rhayader, a town with the River Wye and a popular National Cycle Route snaking through it. A must-see in terms of local scenery is Claerwen Dam (12 miles), the largest of a selection of dams and reservoirs that put the Elan Estate on the map.
