On the first floor the double and the bunk bedroom are each accompanied by characterful furniture and both have a wonderful relaxing charm to help enable a peaceful night’s sleep to set you up ready for the next day’s adventures. The bathroom is classically presented with a bath, and an overhead shower, well-appointed for guests of both bedrooms. Take a moment out of the day to appreciate the location, as you relax in the garden with the idyllic babbling steam, a lovely suntrap to reflect on your adventures, or make up and coming plans. Abercegir nestles in the beautifully unspoilt Welsh countryside, free from crowds of tourists, yet perfectly located within a short car journey you are spoilt with things to do, there is something for everyone, Glyndwrs Way, Centre for Alternative Technology, Corris Steam Railway, Corris Craft Center, Mountain biking in the Dyfi Forest, or a beach day in the popular seaside town of Aberdyi, just 15 miles away. The market town of Machynlleth is within 5 miles, there are excellent pubs and cafes serving great food, as well as an inspiring variety of independent and boutique shops to buy a holiday treat to take home. Glanrhyd Cottage is truly wonderful, ideal for a small family, friends or couples wishing to get away from it all.

The small market town of Machynlleth sits amid the rolling hills of Mid Wales. The streets of the town spread out from the 19th Century clock tower, and offer a good mix of specialist shops, pubs, and cafes, in addition to the regular street markets held every Wednesday. The town boasts two art galleries, and is home to the Museum of Modern Arts, Wales, which showcases the work of a variety of international artists, as well as staging concerts and lectures in its 400 seater auditorium. Just ten miles from the coast, Machynlleth is also ideally placed for taking advantage of superb walking, riding, fishing and rock climbing available in the area.
