With its origins in the 15th century, the house still retains its ancient castellated archway redesigned in the 19th century in the regency style. The property is centrally located in the heart of the market town of Crickhowell and Hay on Wye is nearby which is a must see along with Abergavenny with its many shops, pubs and restaurants. Why not stop in Brecon en route to Pen y Fan. The cities of Hereford and Cardiff are both less than an hour away. There is plenty to do in the area including hiking in the hills, fishing on the River Usk and there are some lovely walks off to the right along the River, also great for a summer picnic. Cross over to the village of Llangattock and you'll find the Brecon & Monmouth Canal, with recently restored tow path, is great with a bike or for a relaxing amble.
