    About this property

The Little Dairy has been splendidly assembled to provide a cosy and tasteful holiday let within the delicate countryside of Pembrokeshire, with the stunning coastline and fabulous beaches just moments away. Close to the historic town of Pembroke, Freshwater West, Bosherton Lilly Ponds and Barafundle Bay, this is a quality base for a romantic couple looking to explore the wonders of south-west Wales. On approach to the cottage you will come by the secret garden, nestled to the side with wild flowers, flourishing hedgerows and a lovely barbecue area. Step through the gate to the courtyard and enter the property into the open-plan lounge with a dining area. Take some time to fully relax and unwind in the comfort of the sumptuous sofa; an imitation woodburner sits in the corner, ready for those winter evenings. The owner of the property has a very artistic flair; beautiful paintings can be enjoyed about the property along with stunning flower arrangements enhancing the window space. Just off from the sitting room is the kitchen, wrapped in cream units and amply equipped, providing your holiday break with a sense of calm. Head under the arch to the bedroom to unpack your belongings, the colour scheme offers a welcoming invitation, boasting soft, pastel hues and elegant patterns in the upholstery. Enjoy the benefits of the en-suite shower room, ultra-modern with a stylish layout. The country views from the property are a delight to behold and the surrounding area offers leisurely strolls along the beaches, revitalising cycle routes along the coastal path and pretty villages and seaside towns to explore. Take a trip up to Tenby to visit its castle ruins or simply take pleasure in the collection of amenities at nearby Pembroke. Treat yourselves to a wonderful stay at The Little Dairy.

Pembroke is home to a castle, which was the birthplace of Henry Tudor. Situated on the river estuary, this historic town has an abundance of shops, tea rooms and restaurants. The Pembrokeshire coastline is nearby, with its award-winning beaches and walks along the coastal path. There is a cycle route that starts here, taking you through the village of St Florence and then on to Tenby. Bosherton is just 4 miles away and Freshwater West is within easy reach.

" We were met by the owner Gilly on arrival, who explained everything to us. Location was perfect for what we wanted, very close to some of the beaches. Basically all you need to bring is food and clothes - everything else provided. There is a small fenced courtyard which was perfect for our small dog. Couldn't have been better, we will definitely be returning in the future "

" The owner clearly cares about ensuring visitors have a lovely stay, and much attention has clearly gone into the facilities and decor. "
    Mr Savage ‐ 1 Jun 2021
" Only one 'niggle' was the noise on one evening from the Military area nearby - we had seen six huge tanks being transported in and on the Tuesday evening the noise started at about 6pm and finished at 11.20pm. It was a bit frightening at times, whenever the bangs sounded the whole house shook, presumably from the tanks firing and made me jump every time. There had been occasional bangs up to that day but nothing like the continuous bangs and machine gun fire - we had obviously chosen a bad week when their manoeuvres were on - it sounded like being in a war. Thought I would mention it - although would not wish to cast any aspersions on the property which was great and seeing the puffins on our visit to Skomer Island was incredible. We both enjoyed the courtyard outside the property which was nice to sit in in the sun. Thank you. "

"Superb location, very peaceful, and a joy to just sit in the private garden areas and totally relax. The cottage itself was cosy , yet had everything needed to make the holiday complete."

" Superb location, very peaceful, and a joy to just sit in the private garden areas and totally relax. The cottage itself was cosy , yet had everything needed to make the holiday complete. Location wise, it was central to visit all of the many beauty spots and bays In the area . Thank you very much to the owner for the warm welcome and we will most certainly be returning there for a repeat of the experience, and thoroughly recommend it for couples looking for the perfect peaceful retreat. " Small touches like the vases of fresh garden flowers and the offer of fresh, free range eggs were additional extras. The tiny cottage contained everything we needed for our week’s stay and was a peaceful haven in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Close to most Pembrokeshire coastal towns and villages, it made for an excellent hub for daily excursions. Thank you Gilly for accommodating both us and our dogs. "

" Lots of lovely places to visit close by to the cottage. Really enjoyed a walk around the coastal path near Marloes where we saw a seals basking in the beach. Gilly, the cottage owner was very welcoming and friendly. Very enjoyable holiday. The postcode didn’t take us directly to the house but to a road close by. After consulting a map we eventually found it. The Free range eggs Available at the farm were lovely. "
    Mr James
" Our host was nearby and very friendly. We enjoyed meeting the rooster and his chickens and were able to purchase their delicious freshly laid eggs. The Dairy was well stocked with crockery and cutlery and all the kitchen utensils and equipment needed for us to self cater really well, we were even able to invite some friends who were camping nearby to share a meal with us. We were delighted with the well organised recycling system and the convenient compost bin. Water pressure in the kitchen was low but there was good pressure and instant hot water in the bathroom. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend this venue without reservation. "

" 20 mins drive freshwater bay absolutely stunning The only thing l thought honest to mention their is no washing machine, but Gill will do one free load if you need it I did mention to her that l wouldn't give her a good write up as we left because l didn't want anyone else to know about this hidden gem "

" It’s really clean welcoming and very comfortable for 2 and dogs . It’s has all the essentials within the cottage and lots of little personal touches like fresh flowers and beautiful artwork done by the owner. It’s in a perfect location for driving to several beaches the wonderful walks and close to local shops and a short drive to Pembroke . We visited many interesting castles and the lily lakes are a must visit and then on to Broadhaven Bosherton beach which was our favourite. We will definitely visit again and recommend this lovely little dairy to all our friends. Thank you for a wonderful holiday . "

" .as we love Wales and what it has to offer. The Little Dairy was so comfy cosy and compact, and had everything we needed...We couldnt fault a thing...and we had the kindest and most thoughtful welcome from Gilly the owner....with milk, bread, butter, eggs and a homemade Bara Brith on arrival which was delicious! This was a first for us and so appreciated. We loved spending time with Gilly and her many animals...but also enjoyed this part of Pembrokeshire with its stunning beaches, and places of interest...Pembroke itself, The water lily ponds at Bosherston, St Govans chapel, Freshwater West and Saundersfoot.....were the highlights for us...It was so relaxing and we loved it so much we will be back next year. It is definitely one of the best cottages we've stayed in. "
