Guests say

Pembroke Cottage is a well-regarded holiday rental praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy lounge, and thoughtful touches like Welsh cakes on arrival. The property is pet-friendly and within walking distance to local attractions, making it ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, contributing to a comfortable and welcoming stay. However, one review mentioned grubby skirting boards and mould, indicating occasional lapses that prevent a perfect score.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to Pembroke town centre, historic sites, and beautiful beaches. Its quiet neighbourhood is appreciated for leisurely walks and easy access to local amenities.

Guests generally find the beds comfortable and the living spaces cosy, with special mention of the reclining sofas. However, several reviews suggest that the king-sized bed's mattress requires updating, affecting the overall comfort level.

The cottage is well-equipped with a kitchen and dining area, but some guests reported issues with the shower, TV, and garden maintenance. These concerns, while not widespread, indicate room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Guests often mention the thoughtful provision of Welsh cakes, tea, and coffee upon arrival, which adds a welcoming touch. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note that such offerings are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Returned from a delightful week at this charming cottage in Pembroke, which highly recommend. The experience was a memorable getaway.Located in a quiet neighbourhood, the cottage offers easy access to the town centre and is a perfect base for exploring the area's beautiful beaches. Pembroke itself is exceptionally clean and picturesque, making it a joy to take leisurely walks, especially around the historic Pembroke Castle and along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The strolls were made even better by the morning birdsong, which created a serene atmosphere.Accommodation Highlights:-The cottage itself is a true gem. It's more spacious than expected, featuring comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen, complete with a lovely dining table in the sunroom, ideal for self-catering. The lounge area is cozy, fitted with reclining sofas perfect for winding down after a day of exploration. The thoughtful touches, such as Welsh cakes, tea and coffee on arrival, made us feel right at home, including various sundries. The garden provided a lovely space to sit outside and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The cottage is conveniently within walking distance of local pubs and eateries.Highly recommend dining at The Highgate Inn, Hundleton where the food and warm hospitality left a lasting impression.Local Attractions:-We made the most of our time by visiting several nearby attractions that had been recommended in a helpful folder left at the cottage. The stunning FreshWater East Beach and charming Rowlies Fish and Chip shop are just a couple of highlights. Tenby and various beaches between Tenby and Pembroke are lovely. It was a treat to explore the natural beauty of the area, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike.Very Small Hiccups:-There's always room for improvement; parking can be a bit tight, especially if the neighbouring cottage is occupied, but plenty of space on the road. Heating and hot running water was not operational on arrival but was promptly resolved the following morning.Additionally, the king-sized bed could benefit from a new mattress for a touch more comfort, but the mattress topper was very good.Overall, the cottage was spotlessly clean, cozy, and well-fitted - the perfect home away from home for anyone visiting Pembroke, particularly pet owners, as it’s pet-friendly. The helpful host made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a lovely time and will undoubtedly consider booking again in the future. Don't miss the opportunity to stay at this beautiful cottage!

Couldn't get the shower to shift from bath to shower - though plentiful hot water for a bath! Everything else was absolutely fine and I enjoyed my long weekend there. Quiet neighbourhood, handy for town centre.
