We stayed at this cottage recently and, whilst the property itself is very spacious and had plenty of room for our family, unfortunately our arrival experience was quite stressful. When we arrived late in the evening after a long drive, the house was extremely cold and there appeared to be no heating on. There were no instructions provided, so we had to spend time trying to work out how everything operated ourselves. At one point we genuinely questioned whether we would be able to stay because of how cold the property was. We initially called the property owner several times and got no response.Cleanliness was also disappointing. There was urine on toilet seats, toothpaste splashes on mirrors, and the toaster was unusable due to being dirty and rusty, some of the items in the kitchen cupboards were not very clean, the aga and oven not clean. The kettle also had rust inside. There was dust and cob webs everywhere, mould stains in the kitchen and dirt ingrained around skirting boards and wooden wall panels. Before we could settle in I needed to clean the property sufficiently for the family to feel comfortable staying there. Not what you want to do after a long journey. By the time the property owner returned our calls we had done all we needed to do to make the property 'livable'.It was particularly disappointing given the late arrival time and the long journey beforehand, which made the whole experience far more stressful than it should have been. That said, the cottage itself is very large and spacious, which worked well for our family group. With improved cleaning standards, better maintenance, and clear instructions for guests, this could be a lovely place to stay and then it would achieve value for money rating.

We had a fantastic stay here. The location is excellent, close to beautiful beaches and several castles, which made exploring the area really easy. The property itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax. It was exactly what we needed for a peaceful and enjoyable break. Would happily stay again..
