The large decked area to the front has patio seating for visitors to sit and relax after a busy day exploring Pembrokeshire.  Folkestone Hill is a well kept site with a children's play area and access across the road on to a small cove with sandy beach and a pub. Set in St Brides Bay just a few miles south you will find the picturesque villages of Broad Haven and Little Haven also the county town of Haverfordwest and go north and you arrive in St Davids, the smallest city in Great Britain.

Location

Nolton Haven has an uncrowded sandy beach set between Newgale Sands and Broad Haven. The beach is located on the west coast of Pembrokeshire in St Bride's Bay. Nolton Haven Beach is popular for boating, swimming, surfing, horse riding, fishing and walking and as with many Pembrokeshire beaches it is bordered by the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Dogs friendly beaches. There is a pub and hotel closeby and a slipway on the beach. Newgale Sands only 2.5 miles away is celebrated for its two mile stretch of clean beach. It is particularly excellent for surfing with its huge atlantic waves, also for windsurfing and kayaking. The beach is rimmed by a natural ridge of smooth pebbles which act as a flood defence at high tide. It is easy to access with wheelchairs and pushchairs. It is dog- friendly and has a nearby cafe, toilets, surfboard hire and lifeguards. Nolton Haven is seven miles from Haverfordwest not the biggest town in Pembrokeshire, but the most populous, Haverfordwest is the central administrative hub of this region of Wales. Close to the Celtic Trail, and a good central Pembrokeshire base for access north up to the Preseli Hills and west towards St Brides Bay, Haverfordwest has one of the best local history museums in Pembrokeshire, plus there's Haverfordwest Castle too! The town centre has an array of shops and a pleasant converted quay (Haverfordwest was once a thriving port at the end of the river estuary). It is a bustling, busy town with plenty of restaurants, accommodation, pubs and cafes.

Nearest Large Towns: Haverfordwest - 7 miles takes about 20 minutes. Haverfordwest is a market town and has the river Cleddau running through it. there large shopping centre with Marks and Spencers, most of the supermarkets and many shops, a cinema and also a castle reputed to date back to 1100. Fishguard - 21.6 miles takes 38 minutes. Fishguard is a port where the ferry crosses over to Ireland. Cardigan - 33.4 miles takes 1 hour 4 minutes. Carmarthen - 37.4 miles takes 1 hour 1 minute. Carmarthen has a large shopping centre with Debenhams, Marks and Spencers and many of the other well know brand shops most of the supermarkets, also a multi screen cinema.
