A wander around Newport will reveal fascinating historical landmarks such as Carreg Coetan Arthur and the former site of the once remarkable Nevern Castle. Nearby is Pentre Ifan - a stunning Neolithic burial chamber and one of Wales' greatest landmarks. Take the short drive to the nearby town of Fishguard, home to the Fishguard Fort which offers stunning views over Fishguard Bay and take in the 'Last Invasion Tapestry' in the Town Hall, telling the story of local heroine Jemimah Nicholas and the Last Invasion of Mainland Britain in 1797. Wander over to Goodwick, where you can meet and learn more about the local marine life at the Ocean Lab or take a leisurely stroll along Goodwick Sea Wall which offers fantastic views.
